I suggest allowing teams to transfer 19-20yo players from senior squad to YA. This would enable quicker development of drafted youths. Could limit it to Premium YAs and to 1-2 per season.

I have commented before that young (YA age) drafted players are actually more valuable to any teams that they might be sold to (because they can drop into the YA for extra training value) than they are to the team that drafted them. This suggestion would, if adopted, solve that oddity.

Hm, that would create kind of an imbalance from the salary point of view. YA players are kind of protected against salary raises. Moving such young draftees to the YA would protect those as well. I am not nure I like to deal with this, while I truly like the idea of pushing such players into the YA

That could be handled by creating 1-2 special slots in premium YA, which allow training as YA, but the players get paid. Using such slot does reduce the regular slots by 1.

I have made myself a rule: if it is hard to describe in the manual, it is not good. If it has excwetions, it is not good.
This would be an exception from all other youngtsers then, I am afraid. |

Fine, than simple.
Premium YA offers one prospect slot, where you can put in 1 drafted player <= 20 to get ya training, but has to be paid. This is an extra slot, optional to use and can‘t be used for regular YA players. |

If I understood it, the idea is to create an extra slot for drafted player on YA. If that is true, I am completely against it.
If it is to implement such feature, it must be conditioned to regular YA slots. I would prefer to limit it to first round draftees but I think it would be hard to do. Edit: do not like the paid option. Last edited on 2024-09-23 21:48:01 by linkleo911 |

I would rather see all draft players already capped in strength and speed than transfering them to YA. My youth academy players are all maxed at those two atrubutes by the age of 19 (lot of them even earlier), so for me that would be an upgrade with draft selection. Expecially with 20, 21 & 22 years old draftees. 19 years old could be somewhere close to their caps. I am not a fan sending draft players to YA. |

Both ideas are aimed at roughly the same outcome: improving the quality of draft youths which, currently, are usually well below YA standard. |
