Recently purchase a player for a pretty penny ($35M). I think it's okay, because he's young and I expect him to be my future QB1. I paid also the same for another former QB1.
But I'm just curious, what the most you'd spend on a player in today's economy? Steve SD Blitz |

im years away from being able to buy players for large amounts but like you stated steve if you can get several years of high level performance from them then suppose you can justify breaking the bank, can see myself in the future when the core of my team is improved and im only few players away hiring in these vets for 1/2 year rental jobs if it gets me better performances on the field.
so im assuming your 35 mill is the transfer record?? |

A lot when my bank account has recovered
If I could get my hands on a 19 yo 50 spd/50 str/50 int Track Star LB that I can convert to a QB in my YA, I would be willing to train my guys across the board 2 skill levels lower and still be a better team, so I would empy my bank for that type of player a 22 year old of that kind is currently on the TM but those 3 years and no extra YA points possible truly matters |

due to a budget I would say 4mil if I would go that far.. yes the Free Agents are not worth more of a bid as a better or player as near, would come on market.. another reason is the wage , you can buy/bid high on a lower wage player, or low Bid and higher wage.. as for anyone playing with a Media Centre income, I use that as a wage payment, with games and other cash as extra, to build on - as I restarted with this team I looked for skills first, if we win we go up in ELO, sponsors pay more and fans sell seats to a winning team - I ask if the new owners are ready to play old school RZA or change to the new Media Centre way.. so now I play as an American Football Game rather than a Monopoly.. Steve SD Blitz For you who is playing like at least 8 additional games each season earning additional 40 millions per season this is something that can be normal from time to time. Plus you are keeping your finances at break even point season after season (income vs expenses for regular 8 league games + 15 SC games). By biggest spending was 8,9 millions in season 26. In last 20 seasons max 5 millions. I would never pay that much, even he will be your starting QB in 5 seasons (so you will have full use of him for at least 4 seasons). But you are a rich one 😉 |

Right now, 2 Mil if I'm splurging. This is entirely because my goal right now is to save up for my wages Doubling next season

I think that I would spend from 5 to 6 million depending on the player. And this is A LOT of money on today TM. More than that and I would probably finish the season with a deficit.
