In my game today I didn't try any punts on 4th down despite my tactics saying Try Fieldgoal instead punting on 4th down when distance <35 and Go for 4th down when yards to go Never.
Do I need to set something in the playbook to make sure my team punts instead of always going for it on 4th down? |

Yes, just set to punt on the 4th down, and the distance you want your punter to kick the ball.
Usually I set the distance just outside the range covered by my Kicker with FG, so if it's too long to try to go for a FG, I'll punt the ball. |

Why does it need to be taken off 'never' if I never want to go for it on 4th down?
In my game today it's doing the same thing again where I'm not punting the ball. I even removed all punts from the playbook so surely just having the game settings set to Try Fieldgoal instead punting on 4th down when distance <35 and Go for 4th down when yards to go Never should work ok? |
