I think as a longer term project, adding YAC (Yards After Catch) to the receiving statistics would be a nice statistics. It essentially shows which receivers are making a lot happen after they catch the ball and would allow users to differentiate the effect of skills like QB’s passing & WR’s catching from stuff like WR’s carrying and ability to break tackles. Also, helpful to expose defensive shortcomings – ie. are you giving up a lot of passing yardage because of bad coverage or bad tackling.
