Since I included the 3-4 defensive formation in my playbook i don´t get sacks while with the 4-3 getting many sacks.

I say this because it´s assumed that the DE at 3-4 entering the blitz.

Has anyone managed to make a sack with a 3-4???

Anyone have a idea what a good build for a DE is? In terms of getting sacks?

Such a player should see how the lines are acting, and he has not so much time to get through to the QB. And even he makes it, he has to tackle the QB. Of course he has to keep himself away from blitzing on every play.

Enough hints?

I think more like "Knows what to do" as in intelligence.
I'm missing positioning ...

vision over int for me, spd/stg maybe some agility.

i dont feel he needs to have int to read the line as the play unfolds so vision to know where the QB is going and a way to him.

So it will be very tough to train a balanced DE, who can produce sacks during pass plays and tackle the ballcarrier during rush plays.
