So....tonight I will post my preview for the Cup and then a short weekly update/blog about what is going on with matchups and such.
Group 1 (Predicted record) Pawn Stars (1-2) Domus Engineers (0-3) Landru Athletics (2-1) Lucea Cardinals (3-0) My initial thought is that his is one tough group. I do like Athletics as the favorite with cardinals and pawn starts fighting it out for the next spot. Group 2 Budapest Wolves (3-0) High Fives (1-2) Morgantown Maddogs (2-1) Stuttgart Supernovas (0-3) IMO a wide open group. I do like the Wolves and Maddogs as favorites early but the other 2 can make it interesting. Group 3 Sfniner (3-0) Hameln Rats (0-3) Leeds Celtics (2-1) or (1-2) Phoenix Firebirds (2-1) or (1-2) I like my group... Early favorites, imo, are me, Johnny, and maybe Rangol. Group 4 Alabama Pachyderms (0-3) Bretzfeld Bandits (3-0) BTW, did you know Bandits are 3-0 vs Monkey lifetime? Galrauch Raiders (2-1) or (1-2) Wesley Crushers (Trekkie here?) (2-1) or (1-2) Early favorites as of right this second, imo, are Bandits and Crushers to advance, but I wouldn't count out the monkey. lol Again, more detailed analysis coming soon. Some report from the 4 qualification groups:
In Group 1 the *Pawn*Stars* defeat the title holder Lucea Cardinals by 34:27. That result produce that the Cardinals needs a win against Landru Athletics next sunday. Game starts at 12:00. If the Cardinals will lose this game, then the *Pawn*Stars* have a great chance with a big win against Domus Engineers at 19:00. In Group 2 the High Fives are qualified for the playoffs. And at 21:00 we have a real "Survival"-Game: Budapest Wolves @ Morgantown Mad Dogs. Only the winner of this game will be enter the playoffs. In Group 3 we will see in round 3 two "friendly"-games, cause Leeds Celtics and S F needs only 2 games for qualifying into the playoff round. In Group 4 last sunday we saw a big defeat of the 1st title holder (Gelrauch Raiders). They lost against the Bretzfeld Bandits by 0:56. This means we have in this group the same situation like in group 3. The Wesley Crushers and the Bretzfeld Bandits will go to play off. If you found any fault in this report, then put it in your pocket, please. |

Pawn Stars has also a good chance with a blow out victory against Domus. If I win against Landru, than will it be a very close game. |

Hmmm, still confident in your 3-0 prediction SF?
I just beat Ranagol with a team containing many key players on PC<90, my experimental 'friendly' playbook, and a liberal smattering of players with low TC/morale who are either development FAs, or who have just switched positions.... Bring on the key matchup |

I'm not as confident now as I was when I made the predictions as I've sold my starting qb, starting rb, and starting fb from last season. I also sold a starting OL and DL player....

Just looked at your team... 'Ouch!' - that's major reconstructive work the likes of which we have not seen since Michael Jackson's face!

Group 1 Thriller pt.1
I have won my game against Landru with 24-23. They could convert 3 of 3 4th downs and were close to a outstanding comeback. At the end they didn't try the TD in the last 30s in my redzone. So now I have to wait until part 2 of the triller. Tony must score 58 points and he will steal the second place and kick the defending champion out of the cup. |
