Hi Guys,

To open up the preparation of the league forum topic for Season 8, we will take a look at the changes of teams within the divisions.

AFC East
Goodbye to Bekescabai Betyarok they went bot before season rollover and welcome to Prague Lions who won Thunder 2.2 AC South division in Season 7.

AC North
Goodbye to Skizzy Wizzys, who went bot during last season and Veryomorek, who lost in the relegation/promotion play offs.
Welcome to Sydney Convicts, who beat Vernyomorek in those play offs, and to Guebw Dolphins, who won Thunder 2.2 NC West Division in Season 7, they also beat Skizzy Wizzys in the relegation/promotion play offs.

AC South
Goodbye to Templar Cross through direct relegation and welcome to Superheroes on Vacation the Thunder 2.1 Super Bowl finalists from Season 7.

AC West
Goodbye to Workers Football Club, who went bot last season and were relegated automatically and welcome back to Alaska Runners the Thunder 2.2 Super Bowl finalists.

NC East
Goodbye to Holmewood Hawks through direct relegation and welcome to Sabercats Sopot the Thunder 2.2 Super Bowl Champions.

NC North
No Change

NC South
No Change

NC West
Goodbye to Pucela Towers by automatic relegation and welcome to SimKonville Fraggles the Thunder 2.1 Super Bowl Champions.

During the week I will look at each division in a little bit more detail and give my thoughts for the next season.

I will also do my match predictions for the regular season and to make a little bit more difficult for myself I will do them by setting a spread maximum of 5 points, for example Athletics to beat Wolves by 7-12pts.

If anyone is up to challenging me with predictions please do so and they should be listed by 9am on matchdays.

Also feel free to make comments and rants in the forum during the season, which I am sure hosh13 will be only to happy to do.

Once again welcome to Prague Lions, Sidney Convicts, Guebw Dolphins, Superheroes on Vacation, Alaska Runners, Sabercats Sopot and Simkonville Fraggles.

Good luck to all for the forthcoming season, god knows I am going to need it.

Let the fights begin.

Nah, this is the place to be a good sportsman.

You'll need to go to the general forums for my Mr Hyde mode.

Looking forward to a good season and finally playing vs humans all the time. And looking forward to the extra blitzing and new formations.

SC will be a matter of trying to scrape in as one of the 14-1 sides since the Dynamo Patriots are in my division!

Intersting addition, they went 14-2 but lost their divisional playoff to their cryptonite opponent Opole. Wouldn't be here except for bot flush, might need some time to adjust, especially in a tough division like that.

hosh finally breaking through the insane bottleneck of quality teams in the Thunder 2.1 NC, not bad. Dolphins are a bit like Prague, struggled against quality oppositon and went up due to bots, let's see.

SHoV, this year's Steelers? Definitely play better than their ratings suggest, upsetting Chelsea in a now infamous CC game, and actually playing really well as a massive underdog in the Bowl, they even outgained the Fraggles in that game. Not bad for a rookie manager. This will defnitely be a newcomer team to watch out for (think Patriots / Renegades / Steelers in recent years) a "underdog" that will suprise a lot of people.

They're now called the Texans Roadrunners and are of course very familiar with the division and the league. They dominated the 2.2 thouroughly and are probably back with a vengeance.

Welcome, probably the best RB in the world, Season 6 and Season 7 Global RB leader, always running about 1000 carries and 5000 yards and 50+ TDs.... this will be interesting. Can they keep up that gameplan (and production) in a division with quality run defs like Slavia and Wild Tahngs?

I don't think people in the 1.1 know how long this has been overdue. The Fraggles are 1.1 ready since about 2 or 3 seasons and that insane 2.1 NC always kept them down. Not this time. They are - just as the Bears were last year - probably a Day 1 playoffcontender looking at their schedule.

This will be a fun season.

Here is Bova's look at the Divisions, starting with

AC EAST

Juan Renegades are managed by roberto2104
Prague Lions are managed by Finglow
Totoras Patiots are managed by JonatanRiver
turigtians esports club (TEC) are managed by Karmahx

TEC will be looking to be the team to beat in this division as they have only missed out on the divisional title once since they joined the division in season 2, but the past two seasons have seen how solid and difficult the Renegades have become as this divisional title has been decided by PD for those seasons. This is not to say that the Patriots will not have more of a say in this years battle as I am sure that it is unlikely that they are going to have such a bad season as the last one. The Lions will probably struggle to make an impression in the division this seaon, but there is a ray of light in the schedule where they have a chance to win some games.

Position Prediction
1st Renegades
2nd TEC
3rd Patriots
4th Lions

Now to continue with

AC NORTH

General Rodriguez Warriors are managed by Nestoro
Guebw Dolphins are managed by cedalsac
San Diego State Aztecs are managed by cboy704
Sydney Convicts are managed by hosh13

The Warriors should maintain their dominance of the division this season and will be hoping to climb over "notsch's Wall" to get to a Super Bowl. The Aztecs and the Convicts will be fighting hard to stop the Warriors, but the battle will be between them for who finishes runner up with a outside chance of a play off place. The Dolphins, unless they strengthen or find some miracle plays on a regular basis, will be cannon fodder for all who play them.

Position Prediction
1st Warriors
2nd Convicts
3rd Aztecs
4th Dolphins

Onto

AC SOUTH

Budapest Wolves are manged by janos
Joburg Brawlers are managed by Nelson777
Landru Athletics are managed by notsch
SuperHeroes on Vacation (SHoV) are managed by xubtube

The Athletics, all hail notsch, well what can you say. Even when there is the occasional slip up they come back and take the Champions title. Will it be six out of eight seasons? The Brawlers now need to make that final leap and give the Athletics a decent fight for the division. The Wolves have been in decline for the past two seasons and will need to turn it around if they don't want the "Wooden Spoon". SHoV are the clear underdog in the division, but their game play could well be enough to provide some surprises and wins this season.

Position Prediction
1st Athletics
2nd Brawlers
3rd SHoV
4th Wolves

and

AC WEST

Canco Hunters are managed by Canco
Dolphins Pisa are managed by Magiclion
Texas Roadrunners are managed by LMajor7
Vienna Falcons are managed by wiesengrund

So it's welcome back to the Roadrunners, rejoining the division they were relegated from in season 6. Back into the "Rat Race", which is what this division is. Along with the Hunters, Pisa and Falcons this is a division that could end up in any order or could be blown apart. The Falcons know it will be a hard slog to win their third consecutive divisional title with Pisa snapping at their heels to get their first title, the Hunters wanting to get back at the top and the Roadrunners wanted to show how much they have improved since they were last in the division.

Position Prediction
1st Falcons
2nd Roadrunners
3rd Pisa
4th Hunters
