This happened in my SC game today against a bot: 6:18 Hollis Willey (P) punts the ball from opp 16 for 26, this is a touchback
I think the default FG range should be changed from <5 yards to something more reasonable like <35 or <40 yards. That would make bot decision making a little more realistic. Steve SD Blitz Last edited on 2011-09-19 18:44:24 by Solana_Steve |

This is actually a little more complicated that the logic allows. As it is now, I think never is the appropriate default.
But really, in real football, its dependent not only on the yardage, but the location on the field and the score. For example, if a team is on their own 5 yard line, they're not going to go for it on 4th down even if its only inches away. Conversely, if their on their opponents 30 yard line, a punt probably down net much yardage, so they're more likely to go for it or just try a long FG. Steve SD Blitz |

I suggest "< 2 yards" Do you mean Go for 4th down when yards to go Help * dropdown* I would suggest <1 yards. Oh ... is not there .... well <2 yards, but that is very much! Maybe ad <1 yards? or are there no inches and <2 yards mean 1 yards? ![]() |

Steve SD Blitz True, but then the bots need a playbook. ![]() |

Jack, meant "Go for it"...
I think we will stick with the punt and just raise the FG settings. |
