Ashok Estazie, the reliable QB from last season, has asked to be released. This is most likely due to not reaching agreements with a new contract.
Ashok was a much-needed addition to the team, he brought a level of QB play that the team lacked he accounted for 4,344 yards and 32 TDs through the air, astonishingly, he was our lead rusher as well with 351 yards and 3 TDs, which is telling of the quality of our RBs and FBs. While he did throw 19 INTs, he was much better than any other QB on the team. Unfortunately, with the new QB that was drafted and the other young QB who is likely to be the successor, it seems like the writing is on the wall for Ashok.
While he is as talented as can be and extremely smart, Eroman does not seem to believe he is the franchise QB for the future.

It has been a hard start to the Eroman regime in Yucatan, it seems that poor planning and lack of direction have led to the team to poor records after two years. However, reporters are saying that a new look for the team is coming this season.
After two subpar seasons, where the team achieved only 10 league wins combined (2 coming from last season after the league change), Eroman and the K'ins are looking to right the ship and lead the team to an above .500 record this year. There were multiple key additions to the team during the last season, and a lot of them have become regular starters and have filled positions of need, these key players are sure to be improved after one complete season under their belt.
There is much hope for the future, a core of young up-and-coming players, and sources say, a new approach to the style of play from the K'ins.
