Has anyone tried training their physicals Strength and Speed to 50 first, regardless of the player's red lines, and then train their skills afterwards? I think it would require a certain type of player...one with high teamwork, and one with maxed out Strength and Speed already above 45 maybe? I mean, when they have their skills really high, with accompanying high salaries, wouldn't one want their physicals of Strength and Speed already maxed to 50? So at the time the player is costing you the most salary you already have the physicals maxed out at 50 and they're playing their possible best? As compared to you paying the player their highest salary and yet you're still working on getting their physicals of Strength and Speed to 50? Just a thought? Thanks!

I try to max spe & str only after I reach numbers in skills that I want to reach and there is nothing left to train for that position. Sometimes it is because I want his salary to stay in those numbers till contract is renewed, sometimes he is capped, sometimes I don't need better player in that position at that moment...

And I never try it if the player isn't already in like 48.6 or 49 in spe or str. Trying to do it from 45-46 will be such a long journey 😊

If you do it in a way you wrote player will never get high experience since he would play like 3-4 seasons less than others. And I am sure exp has a great deal in this game.

I did a test with him Costin.
Started at 46.6 and he is now at 47.7 after 1 season and a quarter. Exactly for the reason you mentioned. By the end of the season he will be red caped at all skills for OL (agility included) by my calculations and after that i will train again his strength. He should get to 49.x before his 31st birthday.
My reason for what i did is exactly what you said, experience. He has 5* EXP since his 26 birthday and to control his salary i kept his skills where i wanted. Now that his ageing i'm expecting his strength gain will go up a little harder compared to his 26/27 age where he gained 1.1 over.

It's a long journey, if the player is at 45 to 48 capped and it burns a lot of training, if you would do it as you do suggest.
I do train physicals only AFTER the non-physicals do hit my self-set barrier, since training any skills further would make them more expensive and most 'other' skills don't have an effect, like carrying for DL or something like this.

To be clear, I have yet to do it where I train strength and Speed to 50 first, and then train skills. But if I drafted a player with 50 teamwork, and who's Strength and Speed maxed out to their red line is a minimum of say...47 or 48and above...I'd be curious to try it.

You will gain likely 0.4. to 1.0 (depended on your coaches setup, the postion, the facility) on ONE of his red capped skills, so say red capped at 48 on BOTH skills, he needs 1.5 to 2 years on STR and 1.5 to 2+ years on SPE to get to 50 fpr BOTH skills. Remember, with every season the progress slows down to an even very slow progress rate.
Let's say you have the player then at 50 both at age 24, you gained only minimal on non-physical skill, so now you have to train him to the skill level you want him and then he is at some point a starter, likely at age of 26 to 28.
After he turns 30 he might already retire.
