Round 2 went better than i have expected.
Got my #1 draft choice in SF Eustaquio Guzmán, a prospect SF with DE potential with Fearsome trait. Speed is yellow at 44.6 and strength has no cap. Hope that strength will hit 50, or at least close to that. |

We got our #1 choice, too
Very intelligent and talented 20yo ball stripper, capped red at 44.7 on SPE and yellow at 45.6 on STR, though. We'll see what we do with him  |

15th choice for me but not too shabby. 50 speed wr with yellow strength at 44.6. High talent but is one of the older draftees.

7th choice in round 3 to close out this draft for the HAMBURG SEA LIONS, this player's a work in progress still. STR just below 40, SPE just above, but both uncapped. 3.5* EXP already and Sticky Fingers trait. Needs time, but has potential

Time for some number crunching!!!
First, I'd like to once again give a big thank you to Pete for creating this game. I've very much enjoyed it. 
I put together some rough ratings based on a combo of ELO, OTR, and salary of players and coaches. It's all very scientific  so take it for what it's worth. Here's my observations:
-Good news is I didn't see any managers that haven't been on in the last three days, so it appears all are active! -The Hey Big Spender award for this season goes to KMN who has a combined salary of $10,785,553.00. We assume he's got big pockets and can afford the extravagance. -The Stingy Scrooge award goes to Flying Circus who is only spending a touch over $4M. I once entered Elite with just under a $4M payroll, and walked away with a cool 0-16 record, so good luck, my brother! -The strongest division is the NC East (big surprise) and the weakest is NCW. As mentioned before the 10th anniversary season for the HAMBURG SEA LIONS will not be easy, but as always it’s not easy to predict anything in Football. So I’ll leave that to someone else (hello, Radu ) and will settle for an overview of the "weakest" division in the Elite in a preseason edition of
The Battle for the NC West – Season 58  Source: https://tillfelix.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/rza_s58_nc_west_preseason-1.png Chelt Nam Bobbers The biggest Dragon is of course again the favorite to win the division, as the Bobbers did for the last 10 seasons. Overall they are the strongest team in the NC West and have by far the most experienced manager at the helm. They have their bye-week right at the halfway mark of the season and play the majority of their divisional match-ups after that, so if they get to their bye with a record over .500 their chances for the #1 spot in the division are pretty good. HAMBURG SEA LIONS The SEA LIONS are only the third best team overall in the division going into the season, they are the underdogs in every of their first 4 games. So it’ll be a success already if they go into their early bye in week 6 with a record close to .500. Their schedule is pretty even, they need to bring their A-game every week. But they’ll most likely not be in playoff contention this season and will have to fight and claw until the very end of the season to avoid relegation. Gilets Jaunés The Yellowjackets come into the season as the Dragons champ and are overall the second best team in the division right now, although only slightly. They still have All-Pro-QB Yohan Maitre as the trigger man, but he’s 34 yo already, so it remains to be seen if he still has the juice to lead his team properly. Their schedule has 5 of their divisional match-ups after the halfway point, so they may make some hay after their bye in week 9. They need to lay the groundwork before that, though, which will be hard enough. They’ll likely fight with the SEA LIONS and the Dragons for second place until the end. Girona Dragons 1714 The manager of the Girona Dragons has openly expressed his displeasure about having to play in the Elite this season, arguing that his team is not good enough to compete at all. Seeing that he has by far the smallest roster in the division with the lowest overall strength he might be right and this season will be a struggle for the Dragons from start to finish. We just hope they do not throw the towel for every game.  |

Here's my own projections, based on my previous numbers. (Due to rounding fractions, it doesn't add up to the correct number of total wins, but it's just to give an idea anyways, so whatever. And no, I don't believe all these results and neither should you.
 That's what makes football fun, is you just never know what's going to happen!

I think I didn't explain myself clearly.
I'm not unhappy about having to play in Elite; I'm unhappy because despite playing in Elite, my fans won't come to the stadium. In other words, they prefer to see their team win 150-0 against bots than see their team lose against the best teams by 12-32. Reaching Elite is a reward for a job well done, it shouldn't be a (financial) punishment for the teams that achieve it. |
