In a highly anticipated Friendly Cup match at Ravens Field, the Constanta Ravens faced off against the Morgantown Mad Dogs in what experts predicted would be a safe win for the home team. The match kicked off with the Mad Dogs winning the coin toss and electing to receive. Early on, both teams struggled to capitalize on their drives, with the Ravens showcasing a strong defense while the Mad Dogs attempted to find their rhythm.
The first quarter saw a breakthrough when the Ravens opened the scoring with a touchdown after an impressive drive. A strategic combination of formation switches and precise passing led to a remarkable touchdown run from Ciprian Cozac, culminating in a successful PAT by Catalin Dinea, putting the Ravens up 7-0. The Ravens continued to apply pressure, showcasing formidable defense and forcing the Mad Dogs into unfortunate turnovers, including an interception by Aurica Armas, returning it for 46 yards.
As the game progressed into the second quarter, the Ravens maintained their dominance. The Mad Dogs finally managed to post another field goal after extensive defensive alignments set them back earlier. The final moments saw additional rushing attempts from the Ravens, who were content to run out the clock and secure their well-deserved victory.
The match concluded with the final score signaling a definitive win for the Constanta Ravens, showcasing their strength and strategic prowess on the field, overcoming the Morgantown Mad Dogs with a score of 24 to 6.
