Deflators Catch Fire in Supercup Groove

At Flat Ball Field, with 144074 visitors swayin’ like a big reggae crowd, the Supercup came alive under the banner of Hack 'Em Back (dot com) - They don't know it all. Experts were feelin’ a possible Constanta Ravens win, but the Deflators had other vibrations in mind, mon.
The early rhythm was rough and smoky. Constanta Ravens pushed into Deflators territory more than once, but the home defense kept throwin’ sand in the gears. The Ravens gave it away on downs twice in the opening quarter, while A.J. Loomis finally made the first clean scoring sound with a field goal for the Deflators.
Radu Prunea and the Constanta Ravens found some sweet passing flow in the second quarter. Silviu Mazare became the bright bird in the sky, catching a short touchdown pass, and Joan Sarda followed with the PAT. Later, Sarda added a field goal after Brant Scott fumbled on a fourth-down rush and Mihai Tanase recovered it, then rumbled it back with wicked timing.
But the Deflators defense had plenty of thunder drums too. Jacob Poulsen intercepted Prunea in the first quarter and returned it deep, setting up pressure football. In the third quarter, Warner Lyman read Prunea’s pass like a bass line, intercepted it, and returned it into dangerous ground. That gift became a Travis Wach touchdown run, with Loomis handling the PAT.
The game kept twistin’, smoky and wild. Willie Hidalgo moved the Deflators with quick throws to Frederick Rose, Deshawn Weiss, Haywood Mckeever and Logan Simone, but he also felt the Ravens rush plenty of times, with Douglas Blair, Mihai Tanase and Radu Pascu bringing sacks. Andrei Viasu later answered for Constanta Ravens with an interception of Hidalgo and a long return, helping set up another Sarda field goal.
Then the fourth quarter turned into Deflators dub music, heavy and steady. Stan Wynn powered in for a touchdown after Hidalgo guided the drive close. Soon after, Deshawn Weiss caught a touchdown pass from Hidalgo, and later Erwin Reiter finished another grinding march with a goal-line touchdown. Loomis kept the extra kicks clean, and the home crowd rolled like thunder through the smoke.
Constanta Ravens kept fighting to the end, with Silviu Brancu, Silviu Mazare, Ionut Oproiu and Adrian Balaci moving the chains, but sacks, failed fourth downs, and the Deflators’ tackling rhythm kept closing the door. The upset breeze blew strong, mon, and the home side danced away with the Supercup shine.
Final score: Deflators 34, Constanta Ravens 13.
