Source: https://i.imgur.com/bRGsV3X.png?1 Good evening fellow managers, Thanks for tuning into another issue of the Thunder Outsiders magazine. This time we will try to make sense of the Pot Luck round of the draft aka round 3. With this round we conclude the Draft 34. The first game of the season is already tomorrow and most managers will just casually glance over the round 3 results. But to finish it off properly I will give the top 5 and bottom 5 below. To be honest they are pretty meaningless. TOP 5 +19 Cougars +19 Deflators +13 Kokomo Mantis + 8 Bubble Bobble + 8 Granville Skunks BOTTOM 5 -12 LM Pirates -13 Ridge City Frogs -17 Smoke & Mirrors -22 Thang Long Warriors -24 Spitting Llamas You need to get lucky on the physicals. Jetto was lucky. I myself was lucky. But only in such that my QBs physicals are uncapped. They might still hit a unacceptable lower limit but for now hope springs eternal. And that is in my opinion what the draft is all about: hope. Hope of improving your team. Hope that you get that generational talent that will transform your franchise. And that brings me to why, deep down,I love the draft so much. Sure, the Youth Academy is good nowadays. Very good indeed. But it doesn't have the drama and hope, that word again, of the draft. This is the reason that this round is my favourite round. This is where the seeds of potential legends are sown. Who doesn't know a player from round 3 that became a star? The down and out player who no one expected anything of but, against all odds, clawed his way up the Depth Chart and became a solid starter. I am therefore dreaming of a Thunder 1 bowl in the future where my new QB Martinez throws a last second TD to win the game and with it the MVP award for good measure. It is then, drunk with joy, that I will take a moment to think back to that moment last night. The moment I decided to take a gamble on a QB in the third round who had utterly failed to impress anyone with his speed and strength. I know it will happen, I just know it, for sure! Or...at least I hope so ;-) PS I've decided that I will do a feature in two seasons where I will revisit every player who was picked in this round and see where he's at now. I think it will make for some interesting stories Last edited on 2019-04-13 09:36:24 by Cheesehead |

Dont do the revisit on draft this season, revisit in two seasons time as physicals will likely be bapped then and we have a better idea where we are. I got three players uncapped for example. Revisiting them this season wont show much.

Can someone still get to the S34 Thunder 1 draft results for round 3? I had promised at the time to look at where the round 3 draftees would be but never did but I want to do it still.
So results of round 3 of draft S34. Honourable mention for the one that gets me the data. |

I've just checked my player from roster history. Apparently I sold him in the same season for 200k and he played 15 games in total before retiring. I am not sure which season was it.
Season 34 Class Pick #95 Rufino Ramos But I think I was coming from Thunder 2, considering the pick number... So, not sure if it helps |
