Just created this so people can share their draft thoughts and reactions leading up to the draft and post-draft...

Honestly, I don't care about the draft since ages.
Sure it might be exciting to get a likely upgrade for the team you endorse, but whether that does turn out right does only time tell.
I felt the hype on the draft is just that, a hype not worth the energy.
Sure the teams have to do their job and the sports covering journalists do everything to make it exciting, for me, it's just boring.

That's because you like college football more.
But we, who are are fans of an NFL team can't wait to see who falls to us and the impact that they will make. The same goes to our division opponents in hoping they will not make a good pick.

Example: My eyes will be first on the Browns and Bengals to see if they will go with their respective picks shown in the mock drafts. Now, the mock drafts are not saying that they will take the same player, but there are 2-3 options for each other. And considering that they have the #6 and #10 should be interesting.

Speaking about my team which at the moment they have #14, we should get a good quality player (OT, OG, WR) depending on who will be available there at that point. Now, we are recognized of picking the best available player every time so it should be fun to watch.
Now, in my humble opinion i watch most of the time R1, R2-R3, which most of the times the talent comes from, i'm not overly excited about the other R4-R7 rounds, because there is a small chance that 1 player will stay after 2-3 years from there.

No, it's not because of college football.
It's because it's basically a lottery for every team and the usually hyped expectations for most players do turn out to be just that, hype.
If you do a re-evaluation of the draft, say 5 seasons ago and maybe 10 seasons ago, you see the real contributer, the average joes and the busts.
Sure, the scouts can't foresee the development, no problem with that.
But very often you (or just I) do have doubts with players and often those are justified. Still a team, or your (or my) team do invest in that player and the bust is just waiting to happen.
Accumulate that expierence with 30+ seasons and you might get the idea, why I got numb on that hype.

But enjoy, I can understand why some are excited.

DBs are always a problem for us, and every team can use good linemen, but we donโ€™t have an urgent need anywhere. As GM, I would trade and flood the roster with undrafted FAs. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm just hoping that the Vikings take Dillon Thieneman at 18, because if we take a DL in which a DL at this rate probably won't be worth the pick at 18 i'm gonna be a little bit sour.
