Dumplings big match reviews of 9th January:
Bulldogs 16:20 Comanches - An excellent 4th Qtr comeback performance saw the Comanches keep their faint playoff hopes alive. The Fighting Tomahawk stadium will rock long into the night after their QB threw for a TD with just over 3 minutes to go. Dumplings 31:10 Narann - Unfortunately for Narann the Dumplings have now hit a run of form and there was to be no upset today. Narann got the first (TD) and last (FG) score but inbetween allowed Dumplings to score 31 pts. 14 games gone and 2 to go... Next weeks games with playoff impacts: AC Eskimos @ Xu Da - #5 v #6 NC Whitings @ Wolverines - #2 v #4 Patriots @ Attack Dogs - #6 v #3 Inter Conference Narann @ Commanches - NC#8 v AC#7 |

* means in playoffs z means division champ AC playoff standings 1-*Juggernaut 13-1 (PD 645) - note, needs 1 win to solidify division champ 2-z*Basterds 13-1 (PD 513) 3-z*Kalapana Wild Thangs 13-1 (PD 494) 4-z*Wolflings 13-1 (PD 456) 5-*Duluth Eskimos 12-2 (PD 469) 6-Xu Da 9-5 (PD 285) - note, needs 1 win to make playoffs as PD is above those below. They play Duluth Eskimos next, but have a bot in their final game. In the hunt Fredericksburg Comanches 8-6 (PD 202) Barossa Bulldogs 8-6 (PD 148) NC playoff standings 1-z*Norfolk Dumplings 13-1 (PD 527) 2-z*Istanbul Whitings 13-1 (PD 441) 3-*Vicious Attack Dogs 12-2 (PD 308) note - has Totoras Patriots and Inbhir Narann in final 2 games. 4-z*Waukesha Wolverines 11-3 (PD 429) 5-*Kokomo Mantis 10-4 (PD 313) note - have a bot and Totoras Patriots in final games, and just need 1 win to solidify a playoff spot. 6-Totoras Patriots 8-6 (PD 232) note - have Vicious Attack Dogs and Kokomo Mantis in final 2 games. in the hunt RC Frogs 8-6 (PD 154) note - has bot (Amersfoort Alligators) and Norfolk Dumplings in final 2 games. Inbhir Narann 7-7 (PD 156) note - has Fredericksburg Comanches and Vicious Attack Dogs in final 2 games. Bulldozer 6-8 (PD 150) note - last 2 games are winnable, but have to win both and get a little PD help. Heck, I will let you all discuss these playoffs with 2 games to go. I truly don't know who is going to get the NC. I think the AC is pretty much set |

Dumplings big match reviews of 12th January:
Patriots 31:20 Attack Dogs - What a result from the Patriots that probably guarantees them playoff football. Patriots used 3 QB's in the win and all performed well throwing no interceptions and all at least a 67% completion rate. Although the Attack Dogs QB also didn't throw an interception his completion rate of 55% meant that his team were 8 of 16 on 3rd down attempts which wasn't enough. Eskimos 35:27 Xu Da - Epic 4th Qtr with a total 4 TD's scored and bragging rights to the Eskimos as they extend their winning streak to 6 games. Although Xu Da amassed more total yds on offence the 2 interceptions thrown ultimately derailed them. 15 games gone and 1 to go...and I'm sure that Tpal70 will give us the playoff permutations |

Thanks for keep writing these. It's always a welcome distraction from work on a Tuesday! And also, not having mid-day games anymore in RZA is weird. I often still feel a slight panic at about 1pm thinking I've forgot to do my match orders :-D

That is enough to make the playoffs as their PD is 67 above Fredericksburg below, so the AC playoffs are set In the hunt Fredericksburg Comanches 9-6 (PD 210) Barossa Bulldogs 9-6 (PD 208) NC playoff standings 1-z*Norfolk Dumplings 14-1 (PD 579) 2-z*Istanbul Whitings 14-1 (PD 462) 3-*Vicious Attack Dogs 12-3 (PD 297) note - has Inbhir Narann in final game. 4-z*Waukesha Wolverines 11-4 (PD 408) 5-*Kokomo Mantis 11-4 (PD 373) note - have Totoras Patriots in final game. After the Patriots win, they have the Mantis shaking in their boots to play them. With a win, and an Attack Dogs loss, the Mantis take the division. 6-Totoras Patriots 9-6 (PD 243) note - have Kokomo Mantis in final game. in the hunt RC Frogs 9-6 (PD 202) note - has Norfolk Dumplings in final game. I think both the AC and NC playoffs are now set with the 6 teams in each bracket. Only thing left to figure out will be the placement. In the NC, the Frogs still have a chance to make the playoffs, but by playing the #1 seed, that will be a big task to win and also gain enough PD to overtake the Patriots (unless the Patriots also lose).
