Congratulation on the win, Buziano.
Defense did stay at home for most of the game for both teams, and the end was a nailbiter. I did laugh, when I saw that after my desperate 65 yard field goal try to win the game at 10 seconds to go YOUR kicker tried a 62 yarder AFTERWARDS with 2 ticks left and 1 point lead.  |

So the group stages are over and on to the KO round we go.

Quarter Finals Day in the World Bowl V
This are the games that we have today and we would like to wish everyone the best of luck. Games at 16:00 In QF1, Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin will take a warship and travel halfway around the world to Canada for a firefight against the Vancouver Corsairs at the Galleon Arena. This 2 teams played once before with the Vancouver Corsairs taking the win. Let's see if the tables will turn today in favor of Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin and manage to tie the record at 1-1 against "BlackBeard's team". Games at 17:00 In QF2, the Social Distance Runners will take a hot air balloon across across Germany for a meeting against their countrymen the Ruhrpott Miners at the Coal Mine Arena in the first meeting between this 2 teams and a very exciting one as well. Nothing is better than an all out German "Civil War" in the KO round of a tournament. Games at 18:00 In QF3, H2TAGIT4Q will take a first class flight to the U.S. for a meeting against the San Diego Blitz at the Palace Dome. Playing together from the start of RZA, this 2 teams have met (DAMN ) 78 times before and the San Diego Blitz hold a heartbreaking record of 68-10. This will be a good chance for the "Father of the Game" to take another one back against the "G.O.A.T. of the game".
Games at 21:00 In QF4, the Leverkusen Leopards will take fast train for a meeting against the Bracciano Lakers at the Yashin Dome Arena in Italy. Playing together in the last 32 RZA seasons, this 2 teams have met 7 times before and the Bracciano Lakers hold the record at 5-2. Let's see if today the Leverkusen Leopards will have another great day and lower the margin against the "Blue Boys". |

This has been one of the most stunning and spectacular endings to a match. I have seen others even more unlikely. But when I saw the situation arising I looked into the PB, searching hectically what the next play could be. And it has been the right one. torakrid, this must have been as brutally shocking for you as it has been incredibly surprising for me. My team has lost so many close matches in the league that this feels like a karma thing for my team. I am sure you did nothing to deserve this.
now lets face the Pitchees again - last time it went rather well for my team

In SF2, the Social Distance Runners will take a hot air balloon across the Sleeve Channel for a meeting against Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin at Dave Marsh Field in England. Playing together in the last 44 seasons, this 2 teams have met 5 times before and the Social Distance Runners hold the record at 4-1. Let's see if today the tables will turn in favor of the "Little Men" and if they can get their revenge for the loss in the group stage against the "Sprinters" and knock them out of the tournament. |

Welcome to the FINAL of World Bowl V.
FINAL at 18:00 This two teams left behind all competitors to make it to the big dance and to have a chance at hoisting this beautiful trophy. A truly special day brought to all football fans when later on, Lions1934's Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin will take a hot air balloon across the Sleeve Channel all the way to Leopards Arena in Leverkusen, Germany to meet Jack6's Leverkusen Leopards in this English-German Bowl. This two teams have faced each other 3 times before and the Leverkusen Leopards won all of them. Today will be a test of the wills for "LittleMen", they can defeat the "Wild Kitties" for the first time and become the new World Bowl Champions. The streets are beginning to congest with the arrival of the english fans who are chanting and clapping for their team and we will have a packed stadium in which the chips, popcorn and beers will fall from the "sky" in today's FINAL.
