Just like no way opp got 72 & 67 yards pass TDs

I'm at a point where I'd really like to talk to someone who can tell me why EVERY season the defensive backfield refuses to make big plays past the midway point of the season. Every season it's like that. All the while my squad happily turns the ball over in all kind of manners.
And then things happen like 1st down Rush with no gain against 3-3-5 and 2nd down Pass incomplete against 5-2. Games like today really make me wonder why I put so much time into this... Congrats to IMGregory, though  |

Well, if nothing else, I can at least say that I've lost a game after being 21 points ahead, and now won one after being 21 points behind.
Just before halftime it was looking bleak (in the dictionary see Stevenage), but a lucky second half changed everything.

So, it’s the second to last game day of the regular season, and instead of picking singular games to put a light on here’s an overview about the situation as a whole in each conference
In the AC conference there are 9 contenders for the 6 spots in the postseason. The Yorkies (10–4) at #1 play the Deflators (8–6) at #4, having the chance to further cement their spot if they win, as they will definitely win their division as well. A win for the Yorkies could make things dicey for the Deflators, as the Air Force Falcons (7–7) could jump them at in the Division, pushing them to #2. Should the Yorkies lose, the Deflators will definitely win their division and put some pressure on the TigerCats (9–5) at seed #3. A loss by the Yorkies could give the Magpies (10–4) at seed #2 the chance to jump them for seed #1 as they play the already eliminated Leverkusen Leopards. A loss by the Magpies, though, would give the TigerCats a chance to jump them, who play the Alpin Ducks from the NC conference. If the TigerCats lose they’ll keep seed #3 due to better PD over the Deflators. Should they lose and the Deflators win they’ll both be 9–5, though, and the seeding would come down to the last games on Saturday. The Sydney Sea Eagles (9–5) sit comfortably at seed #5, but still have a chance to get to 1st place in the division if they win out, beginning with todays game against the Saker Falcons. The Yorkies would have to lose both games, though. Three teams with the record of 7–7 are fighting for the last playoff spot, being the Air Force Falcons, the Glastonbury Grail Knights and the Cardiac Jackets. The latter play Bradford Northern which they could win, putting pressure on the Knights for 2nd place in the division. The Grail Knights and the Air Force Falcons have the chance to give a hard blow to a direct contender since they play each other today. Whoever wins this game will have a leg up in the race for the postseason, although a loss would be way more harmful for the Grail Knights, especially if the Cardiac Jackets win, because they would even fall to 3rd place in the division. The Saker Falcons (6–8) have theoretical chances to get into the playoffs due to their positive PD, but they’d need to win out and hope for a loss of the CardiacJackets and the Grail Knights/Air Force Falcons today, with the winner then losing the final game, too. The situation in the NC conference is a much easier one, with only 7 teams fighting for the 6 spots in the postseason. The two teams sitting atop the seeding are the KMN Mandalorians at #1 and the Space Kraken at #2, both having a record of 13–1. They play each other today, so we’ll be having a new leader of the NC when the games are finished. The seeds #3 and #4 are taken by the Chelt Nam Bobbers (9–5) and the Zombaes (9–5), both playing divisional match-ups today. The Bobbers are pretty much safe to play the postseason, they would have to lose both games with an abysmal PD to be pushed to 2nd place in the division. They get visited by the HAMBURG SEA LIONS to whom they have a 2 game lead on and a much better PD. A win today and the postseason is locked in for the Bobbers. The Zombaes visit the Blitz who have a record of 9–5 as well. The winner takes 1st place in the division with a great chance to get into the postseason, the loser will drop to seed #7 if the Oilers at #5 and the Ducks at #6 both win their match-ups. The Oilers and the Ducks both have a record of 10–4 and have no chance to win their division anymore. While the Oilers play at the already eliminated Social Distance Runners, the Alpin Ducks have to visit the TigerCats from the AC North who still fight for better playoff seeding. So there may still be a chance for one of them to drop out of the playoffs, making room for the team at 2nd place in the NC South. Good luck for everyone today |

Well done Skeetz.
I did not exist in the second half. 10 seasons ago, you deprived me of the greatest trophy of the game. This season, it will be of a PO participation as I do not see my Ducks posting anything else than a loss and SDB anything else than a win next game. If anybody has an idea of what is happening to my team, please let me know. I created a thread in the discussion forum. |
