Add Steelers OC Todd Haley to your list. Seems the Cards already work on plan B in case they can't land one of bigger names. But what can Haley do without Kurt Warner as his QB? I mean his HC stint at Kansas wasn't that convincing...

And he did a bad job in Pittsburgh with Big Ben. I think it's time for a new era. I see Haley not as HC or OC in AZ.

Andy Reid will be not the HC in Arizona. It's okay.

I think the decision will be, which HC plan with an OC, who can work with Kevin Kolb. It is unlikely, that the cardinals will find an other franchise QB in the upcoming draft and they have other problems to fill in the draft. For sure the quarterback position is the biggest problem, but it make no sense to draft a emergency solution in the first round. This would be a waste of a 1rnd draft pick.

I think Ray Horton is the savest HC option, because you know what you get for the defense.

McCoy is the second candidate who choach another team nest year (Chargers). The remaining candidates are Ray Horton, Jay Gruden, (Todd Haley). Today they want to interview Seattle OC Darrell Bevell. This might make sense to hire him. They would weaken an division rival and would get a OC how worked with Favre in Greenbay and Minnesota and developed Russel this year in Seattle.

I think Ray Horton is still the favourite. There were rumors, that Horton want Norv Turner as OC, but Turner might be the new OC in Cleveland.

I hope the Cards will present their new HC his week and can try to get good AC, before all good options are gone.

Ray horton will be not the DC under Bruce Arians.

This is a real shock for me.

I think Horton formed a good defense last year. Now the Cards will get new staff on offense and defense.

So I expect nothing from this team next season.

Play for Draftpick #1.

Sorry. With Horton gone, to hire Arians was a mistake.

EDIT: Arians plans to hire Eagles defensive coordinator Todd Bowles as new DC. Are you sure, guy? Did you saw the Eagles defense and the Cardinals defense last year? Bowles managed the Philly defense wrong with a lot of good defenders on the roster.

I hope this nightmare will end, when I'm awake tomorrow.

UPDATE: Horton will be the DC in Cleveland next season

Bowles isn't nearly as bad as you may think. A lot of what happened on defense over the past two seasons was due to three men: Howard Mudd, the man who implemented the silly Wide-9 line technique, which would stink on ice; Juan Castillo, who was wayyyyy out of his depth as defensive coordinator because he was moved there from offensive line coach; finally, there's Andy Reid, the man I hold most responsible for that debacle because he somehow believed that moving Castillo from O-line coach to defensive coordinator was a good idea.

As bad as the defense was over 3/4 of the season, I noticed a drastic change as soon as Castillo and Mudd were fired. The defensive line played a more conventional style, and began to get pressure on QBs after not doing so since the last four games of the 2011 season. The most notable move in my opinion was naming Brandon Graham a starter at defensive end, who rewarded Bowles's change by getting 4 sacks in the last 5 games.

There is a silver lining on that cloud you see.

Just looking at a Mock-Draft here , they think that maybe QuarterBack Tyler Wilson (out of Arkansas) will go to the Cardinals.

Interesting to note that he'd be the 2nd QB picked, they think Geno Smith perhaps will be going to The Raiders.

Too early for some predictions. First they have to find a solution for Kevin Kold. Paying him 10MIo$ and drafting another QB makes no sense.

Than the FA will come first and we have to wait what happens there.

QB is the most obvious problem zone for thea Cards but not the only one.

The OL is still a problem. Paris Lenon is a FA and might need a replacement. 2 veteran DL will leave the game and Dockett is not the youngest any more, so a DL would be worth a high pick, too. The SF position is also a problem with 2 FA and 2 old starters. What will be the future at RB? Wells and Ryan Williams are often injured. Stephens-Howling is a FA and not an every down back.

We have to wait how the new coaches evaluate the rooster, renegotiate some contracts for more cap space and than see which players are avaiable in the FA-market and draft.

Roster 2013/14 breakdown by position

QB:
I think Kevin Kolb will be the starter, if he agree to a restructured contract. 9 Mio$ are too much. I think he will be around 5 mio$ with a new deal. Kolb must decise if he want to be teached by Tom Moore with a lower salary or want to try to earn more money somewhere else. The backup postition might be not filled by Skelton and/or Lindley. I think Skelton is done and the team might draft a new QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

RB:
Beanie Wells and Ryan Williams will be the main duo. The team will try to bring back Stephens-Howling and should draft a fresh guy (Perhaps a future starter in the first round)

FB:
This is a no-brainer. Anthony Sherman is our man here.

WR:
Fitz is the #1 and will play a major role in the new system. Roberts will be the #2 and the first deep ball threat. Floyed will play more in the slot as physical receiver. Doucet might be #4 and has to play next season for a new contract.

TE:
Rob Housler will be the main receiver and Jeff King more the TE in the running game. #3 might be a target in FA or the Draft

OT:
Levi Brown will return and as LT and Massie/Potter will be the battle for the LT job. The last backup job is open.

OG:
Colledge and Snyder will be the starters. Kelemete might be a backup and the 4th man is vacant.

C:
Lyle Sendlin will return as center and need a new backup.

DE:
Campbell will be on the left side and Dockett on the right. They need more depth at this position. Get a veteran in FA or a youngster in the draft.

DT:
Dan William will be the NT and David Carter the backup. Another quality backup is missing.

OLB:
Sam Acho and Brian Schofield will be the starters. Backup Quentin Groves will be a FA, but might return to the team. Another Passrusher should be a target in the draft or FA.

MLB:
Daryl Washington is set. Paris Lenon is a FA and might not return. Stuard Bradly is payed like a starter, but had no impact in the last two years. Can the team play with him as second MLB or should they release him? Reggie Walker will be the backup.

CB:
Peterson/Gay will reamain the starting duo. Fleming will be one backup. Adams and Toler are FA. The team should adress more depth in the FA

SS:
Adrian Wilson will be the starter and his backup position is open. Rashad Johnson might return with a new contract.

FS:
The team should give Rhodes a new contract. Justin Bethel might be his backup and the team can try to bring back James Sanders, too.

ST: There will be no change with Feely (K), Zastudil (P) and Leach (LS)

Salary cap situation:
The team is actually a little bit above the cap. Steve Keim will try to create a capspace of 10-20 Mio$. His first targets for new contracts will be Kevin Kolb (13,5 Mio), Stuart Bradly (6,5 Mio), Darnell Dockett (7,7 MIo$), Kerry Rhodes (6 Mio$) and William Gay (3,2 MIo$).

IMO, a QB will go Top 10 ...... I think Geno Smith goes at #7 to Arizona Cardinals.

Whether the Cardinals take Geno Smith or not, I think depends on combine performance. Also, there is a rumor that Arizona is going to acquire Alex Smith from the 49ers - - which would make a lot of sense for both those teams.

I see no reason to trade for Alex Smith. He is no upgrade compared to Kolb. I think that the Cards will not go for a QB in the first round. I expect that they will draft Joeckel, Fisher or Warmack at #7. The OL is be bigger problem.

In FA the Cards will search for a Backup-QB (Drew Stanton, Brian Hoyer, Matt Moore) and try to draft a QB in the 2nd round (Glennon, Barkley).
