It seems to me that in 4 WR set 2 outside WRs always run outside routes and 2 inside WRs run inside routes on their side or middle route. So your outside WRs have only one route to run and your inside WRs have 2 routes to run.

Yes, there were already some observations on the fact that #1/#2 CBs cover inner passes too, at least in the Dime. It would follow that they probably also have the first tackle opporunity to inner passes against the SG4, though I never tested that.
