Why would someone spend 10m on a player just drafted?

Freshly drafted players, especially young enough (19-20) that they'll go to the YA after being traded - so that they can receive not only coaching points, but YA experience gains ... are extremely valuable commodities in general, ones with the right #'s can go for 50M+ very easily.
