Week 1
Amersfoort Alligators at Andore Skyhawks With the Salamanders retiring from RZA the NC North is wide open this season. Both teams can challenge for the division crown and both owners have high hopes for this season. In such a highly contested division the divisional win-loss records should play a key role in crowning it's champ. Both coaches know how important this game is and were available to answer a couple of questions. Fonset, how important is this game to your Skyhawks? "Well, my team is aware of how important a game it is against another divisional team, so probably it is one of the most important games that we are going to have this season..." What do you think the keys to this game will be? "Perhaps the key could be the attack and the new guys coming through draft, if they are good enough and fit with the team philosophy I think we could have a big chance." We also got to sit down with Cheesehead, owner of the Alligators and asked him the same questions. Here is what he had to say; "This is a very important game... We had to let go of some important players due to self-imposed cap issues and this game is the first time we will see the team in action without them... We brought in replacements who we think can fill the gap but it's a real rubber meets the road moment. And secondly this is straight away the game where either team can make a statement about their intentions this season..." As for keys to the game... "The deciding factor will be if we can stop their passing game as they really don't have a rushing attack to speak of... the last game they really hurt us through the air. I think overall We've upgraded on the D line so I am hoping we can get at least one interception to turn the game! These two split last year's matchups, both winning on the road. The talent level of both is very close. Will the Skyhawks new team members come in and make a difference or will the Alligators get that key pick that makes the difference. Also worth mentioning in this week's matchups is two playoff teams squaring off. Divers travel to Wild Thangs. Divers ownership was unavailable for comment and when we asked Stizz if the Thangs are out for revenge due to the Divers sneaking into the higher Wild Card spot last year on the final week of the season which forced them to play the Falcons sooner rather than later we were met with silence and a steely glare. Needless to say we left the interview while we still could. Did Bova really call them a Bridesmaid in his preseason preview? Tune in Saturday as the off season ends and the real competition fires up. |

I made a new PB you see but as it's a new season I've not added it to the default match settings yet... And the worst is that I spent the last hour cleaning my house!!!! I was here all along and could have done it at any moment. Oh well, let's hope that morale can be a deciding factor here....as his players ALL have low morale due to apparent financial issues the club is having. At least the new DC is being used... |

Amersfoort Alligators make a statement with convincing win today! I think the morale hit they took, a bad QB and a bad kicker were the things that separated the sides today.
