Hello all and welcome to week 5. This week's game of the week will be between Basterds and Die Verdammten.
Die Verdammten are off to a perfect start but the Basterds have been raising a few eyebrows with their latest result. Was that a fluke result or are they real challengers? We will find out when these two teams will clash. Stay tuned for interviews with both managers... |

Interview with manager of Basterds, jetto, has just come in from our beat reporter!
Hello jetto, Question 1. You have started the season 3-1 and have been a much improved outfit this season incl an upset in your last league game. Die Verdammten however are many people's favorite for winning the league this season. Do you think you have improved to such a point that you can have a real go at beating Die Verdammten? Well, I think DV are the clear favourites but I hope to keep it open till the end. DV is hard to scout as he had no real challenges this season yet. So I'm not sure if he wasn't only playing with his back ups... Question 2. What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be? Key factor will be if my offense is able to produce Yards (and points) and to reduce Turnovers (4 Int's against the Patriots  )
Question 3. Some pundits are saying all the pressure is on you for this game due to the upset you caused in your last game. Do you agree and how will you be dealing with that if true. And actually I'm not feeling any pressure as DV is the favourite for the conference - I'm fighting for a wildcard at all. Beckos has DV as a 13 point favorite. I think this game could go either way. If we were wagering the sharp money would be put down on Basterds +13.
I've gone on record as saying the Broncos are the class of the NC. DV is a bit over-rated in my opinion due to past Thunder performance, not current team makeup. Basterds just might be the team that shows DV's roster holes. |

DV and Patriots have comparable teams, I'll take your Basterds and 13 points any day against either. 13 points just too much against your defense which keeps the final scores low. Not sure you win but you could and I certainly like you covering. |
