So Bovakian got my game right and Fraggles wrong. Personally I had wanted it the other way

Just wondering why they tell noobs to only run the ball as running the ball is sooo ineffective it's unreal. I learned my lesson today...the hard way!

There is a lot of sub optimal advice in the rookie forum. Not sure if it's on purpose or not, probably a combination of both.

Stuff you see on their all the time like, "Complete your stadium first, always keep endurance over 98 percent, and interior O-lineman are important" , at best are true in certain situations.

I've spoke up a couple of times on the forums because I think bad advice from vets to newbs only adds to the frustration players have learning the game and doesn't help player retention.

It is, unfortunately, very argumentative about the advice the vets give to noobs.. some have been very misleading while others have made me more aware of some of the things I have been missing.
The running game does work, but you have to have the pieces in place to make it work.. a decent RB or two, a reasonable FB or two, an OLine that is flexable as well as reasonably strong.. look at me I have 1500+ yards passing and 1200+ yards rushing so far this season and thomastem is calling me the No 1 seed in the AC.. I have had a easy SOS.., but in general I like to keep the run and pass plays mixed up as it does cause mismatches and gain you good running yards as well as the big passing TD.
But don't forget your defense because if they are not working it does not matter how well your offense is working. On that front so far this season I have given up 350 yards rushing and 900 yards passing and that puts pressure on your opponent which leads to them making errors.
Just keep trying things out and train your guys as best as you can.

It was a scary game - he had those big passes, but I got lucky in the end!

Sorry for the short and late replay - I am on the other side of the world, and it is only 0430...

Congrats, stizz.

Looking forward to playing you again soon.
