Hello all and welcome back to the Game of the Week show. After last weeks spectacular game it will be hard to pick a game of equal drama.
So that is why we are turning to a divsional game in one of the most closely contested divisions in Thunder 1.1, the NC North. The Alligators, Nightcrew and lionwings all have a real chance to win the division and the games between each will decide who will do just that. This week lionwings are visiting the Alligators in what will surely be a hotly contested game. Stay tuned for interviews with the managers. (Editor's note: due to me managing the Alligators I've asked thomastem to conduct my interview. I caught up with Cheesehead, owner of the Alligators, at the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. He was catching a flight to Yemen to get in some much needed vacation time in before their big game Sat. Here's what went down.
Cheesehead, how big is this midseason matchup against division rival Lionwings to you? "To me this is already the match of the season for me. I consider Lionwings the favorite to win the division this season so for him to come to my house: I just need to beat him!!" You recently spent big bucks acquiring a young CB. Can you tell us how he fits in this year for your drive to the playoffs and will we see him in this game? "I struggled against passing this season and having crap CBs doesn't help that at all. Good CBs are really expensive so after trying for weeks to get one 'on the cheap' I decided to go all out on this one. Fortunately I've got a very healthy bank account so expect more were that one came from! I still got my eye on my salary roll though so they got to fit into the team that way. No high paid egos in my locker room like the Lionwings..." What do you feel will be the difference in the game? My third down conversion rate has been pretty poor so hoping to improve that via the PB. Also related, the team with the higher passer rating will win this game, for sure! No one has been able to locate the Lionwings' owner. Unconfirmed rumors have spread that Cheesehead has kidnapped him and is holding him hostage in an undisclosed under ground prison in Yemen to gain an advantage in their upcoming matchup.
If true do we feel sorry for Lionwings, respect for the lengths Cheesehead will go for his team, or both? |
