Hello all and welcome back once again to the Game of the Week show. We've had two spectacular games in the last two weeks with each one going right to the end. We therefore picked a game we think will deliver the same sort of drama: Hucknall Broncos - Basterds
Hucknall have started the season in the strong fashion that we have come to expect from them. Sitting pretty at the top of the NC West and with no real challenger for the crown they have to look outside their division to get challenged. And interestingly Bogan Galaxy did just do that in the last round where Hucknall were hubmled in front of their own crowd. Now another tough game awaits when they have to travel to the Basterds. Will last week be a fluke a result or will wheels come off again? Basters meanwhile have had a very different season so far. Sitting at the bottom of a very competitive NC south where any position is still up for grabs. But it does mean that basterds needs to start beating teams like the Broncos in order to remain in the running for a play off spot. All eyes then will be on this match as both have a lot at stake with the home team perhaps being the more motivated to have a real go here. Will it be basterds' start of a march to the top or will Hucknall Broncos resume normal service by clocking up another win. Stay tuned for interviews with the managers... |

The Hucknall beat reporter just phoned this exclusive interview in with JimBob:
Question 1 Was last week's result a fluke or are you worried your players might have become overconfident from being in a relatively weak division? Last weeks result was purely down to being MOTY'd  , and it always makes me laugh when teams from other divisions are MOTY'ing me instead of their divisional rivals especially when they have 3 competitive rivals - If you don't finish top of your division then you'll get an away fixture in the Wildcards if you make the PO's so why waste the MOTY on me?
Question 2 You have never beaten the basterds and got beat twice in this corresponding fixture over the last few seasons. Is revenge an an extra motivating factor for you and your players? Any victory away from home against competent opponents and I'm happy, so the fact I've played the Basterds only twice and both away, I'm happy with the 1-1 result so far. EDITORIAL NOTE: the GOTY got his facts wrong and incorrectly reported 2 basterds wins over the Broncos while in fact the tally is in the balance at 1-1. I stand corrected... Question 3 What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be? So, another away match against the Basterds... so unless he wastes a MOTY on me it's should be a tight game, however with home field advantage I'm expecting my second defeat of the season even with ELO on my side. I think he figured out that I'm saving my MOTY for him. How could he have known? No way I beat the broncos in the regular season for season 21 now.

HI guys!
Sorry, I was on holidays and had only very limited acess to the WWW and even 2 days without any internet at all. Wouldn't have been that problem if I knew it before... I have to recheck what the Broncos did to the audience
