We've got a nice spread of consistent Elite teams, returning Elite teams and First timers. Good luck to all of you since I won't be in attendance.
Congratulations to: Teams returning to Elite after a 1 year absence: Free Agent Mascots - 19th Hell Hounds - 17th Maykop Dynamos - 13th Sunrise City Prairie Dogs - 10th Letaidans - 2nd Teams returning and last Elite showing: Deflators - 9th, last in season 41. 2020 - RETURN OF THE JEDI - 8th, last in season 42. Basterds - 8th, last in season 40. Torino Black Cursed Bulls - 6th, last in season 37. Gotta change the name now! Bradford Bulls - 3rd, last in season 41. Panthers - 3rd, last in season 36. Wow...expected it to be a closer game (like my other playoff games).
Anyway, I noticed people are more aggressive on 4th down than me - - I guess it's feast or famine. Haven't had a lot of match-ups against Yorkshire....not sure what to expect. Good luck lallen73! Well, nobody could of expected that, least of all me.

Congratulations Yorkies!
Bridges couldn't quite survive the devastating QB injury. MOTY was used vs TiCats and after that the starting QB decided to get injured instead of regain PC. Thankfully we were able to survive SC and past divisional round with the backup thanks mostly to the defense. Defense couldn't force FGs though. The starter recovered prior to the Conference Championship, but was still at 91% PC thanks to the injury. So, we had the option of playing the much less skilled backup or tired starter. Landed on using split duty hoping to get the starters skills but mitigate the PC hit. In retrospect we should have just played the higher PC backup, though. Our passing game let us down in what we were hoping would be favorable situations, including the costly interception and failed goalline attempts. |

Two ints, missed fg, and poor fourth down success rate lead to an ugly final score for the Malones. There's always next season I guess. Good game Steve and congrats on the win. Should be a fun championship game! |

And I kicked 4 players who are quite important to my team, but I dislike to keep for the coming season. Exactly at the point where I kicked the 4th one, I recognized: you have a bowl to play ... I missed that completely. However, I won the game today based on committed stats, except for interceptions, and the final scoreboard. The sucker has thrown 3, and I lost by 6 points ... Thanks mate! You are so right, this season was full of surprises. I did not imagine going from 3-6 to save my spot in Elite and then not losing a PO game. I knew I had the players, but luck certainly helped too.
Now there will be another expensive season ahead and depending of the retirements, a small rebuild maybe in S46. |
