Apologies for the dramatic title!
I have been using the same exact gameplan for many a seasons. It worked solidly for most of them. I was regularly beating teams rated higher by their "overall percentages". Sacks don't necessarily mean a better team, but I noticed there were a lot more of those, too. Nowadays, my teams seems to start off excruciatingly slow, then either gets going later in the game, or simply never does. Where before I was spending 3M in wages and winning in convincing fashion, I now spend a hideous, unsustainable 11M+ and the games are kind of ugly. I'd expected something more linear, and I'm intrigued to figure out what's going on here. No matter what, I need to make a new gameplan. I'm not complaining. I'm glad this game is "you can't buy wins." I'm interested in what the mechanic is that has lead to my new challenge. Is there a mechanic in game where higher elo, better players, running the same gameplan for years, more experienced coaches, or anything else I'm not thinking of would lead to a gameplan no longer working as it once did? I love this game and I feel zero negativity about what's going on. Please don't get me wrong. I don't plan to go bankrupt, I want to make it to Elite while my guys are still in their prime and I'm going to work on gameplanning. Just looking for clues! Good luck this season to everyone! ![]() |

No, simply no! But ... When you have a built team and face other built teams, the differences are not as obvious as in the days when you started your career. This means, the little things start to make a difference. EXample: in a D2 level game, coaches play almost no role, since other differences (players, tactics) are more obvious. But in Elite, 10 CP more can make a difference. Just an example. This is what I have seen for 11 years, and it is no wanted outcome, there is no code to cause this. But I like it, because it kind of adds another challenge. |

Agreed! Thanks Pete. Gonna get cracking on the gameplan. Galaxy division looks TOUGH in Elite this season. You guys are going to break a lot of hearts, methinks! ![]() |
