I just feel it is time to move on. Let people take over the team as it has been left. They will still have a lot to learn about playbooks, finances, team management etc

And if someone will take over a team with players having 6-7 mil salaries, coaches 2-3 mil, YA at premium, let's say. Then what? If he will not know, what to do. He will be bankrupt by the end of the season, even if the welcome money is 25 mil.
Am i right or wrong?

Yep, one of many issues with taking over former managed teams.

closing D2 is the beginning of the end, if that is what you want, due to lack of time, fatigue, or any other personal reason, go ahead and kill D2, but if it is only a temporary impediment, a drop in morale or siren songs from players who don't want to go down to second because they had to restructure their teams due to poor management, don't make the mistake of closing D2
i voted no, but it is you who must decide, no one else

Maybe time to introduce some sort of salary cap. I understand that people have to learn the game but there is quite a lot to take in and so an overall cap might help. I have made no secret of the fact that after many years the last two seasons have brought me close to bankruptcy. I have managed to turn things around slowly but if this had been my first two seasons I would most likely have quit.

Even now I am not out of the woods and find myself restricted (by myself) in certain things. It would be quite easy (without the knowledge that I have) to do things that would put me back into bankruptcy again.

If there were hard limits on overall spend a manager would still need to make decisions where to spend that money but at present it's almost like having a free credit card handed out when you have no money in the bank.

Income limits already essentially provide a salary cap. You can spend up to what you earn, and it's pretty simple to estimate base income. Implementing a hard cap dramatically alters and/or invalidates a lot of the core mechanics of the game. Maybe additional hand-holding measures could be added in the form of income warnings or more accurate prognostication tools, but I think the most important thing would be a stronger tutorial system to engage new players with. One user-driven idea would be to bolster the mentor program and have a designated mentor for each league who is notified when a new player joins their league. They could then message them with some basic advice and answer any questions they have? I know I certainly had a lot of questions early on.

Dear people.

This here is purely about the question to close or not to close D2 in one week from now.

If you want to add suggestions or make conditions, please vote NO, because then you are not pleased with just closing D2.

It would really help me not to mix up this simple poll with conditions and suggestions.

I'm leaning toward No or let Pete decide. Frankly, beating up bots (100+ to 0) or beating up on new teams (60+ to 0) isn't much different. The question is, would new teams rather spend one season winning against bots or losing against experienced teams? I don't have an answer

I can not remind a single team that went to D2 during their rebuild. This is only possible on regions with more than 36 teams which were just a few ones on recent seasons (e.g.: on Dragons). But even in this case I am quite sure it never happened (recently).

That is the right question. If we let D2 open we will keep having new teams beating bots for a season and then being beaten by older teams on the next season. If we close it they will go directly to the second part (losing bad to D1 or Elite-ish teams). I can not see much difference on it.

This already happens. Usually on the second season when almost 100% of the "survivors" (or teams that joined RZA on the end of a season) are promoted. I think the impact is the same.
