Well lets keep track of the success an 11 million a week player wages has in elite league in comparison to avg.

From what I recall from past seasons the extremely high wage elite teams pretty much mostly just go broke.

It is one thing, to collect a huge payroll. This is the easy part. To use this exclusive material on field in a proper way ist a different, a difficult one.

I do not see, how this can contribute to 4th down stats.

This has probably been said a million times already, but did anyone else read this and hear Yoda's voice?

From RZA Manual:

Coaches Karma
Coaches Karma is just a display, and it means exactly nothing for the moment! If you like it, check it. If you dislike it, ignore it. There is no harm in ignoring it for the moment.

Coaches karma evaluates the gametactics used by manager. If it finds any signs of Lopsided tactics, it might change from Thumbs up to Thumbs down. It follows the assumption the more diversity there is in your gameplay, formation calling and play calling, the less expectable your game play is for your opponent. So, higher karma equals to probably better gameplay.

The display is not exact, so the thumbs might jump a little bit. This is because the result out of the Coaches Karma calculation is not "exact", it is a little bit unsharpen.

Again, it is experimental. There is absolutely NO HARM in ignoring it for the moment.

but...

Coaches Karma is kind of a display if lopsided tactics are detected. And, we have a check for lopsided tactics in place since few seasons. If this check found issues with your offense playbook, your players might act worse. So, even if the Coaches Karma thumb does nothing by itself, it can be a good hint if lopsided tactics detection did find issues with your playbook.

Interesting

In my friendly tonight I went for it on 4th down - playing against an Eite team.

Result: 50% success

4-16; 4-25 failed
4-17; 4-27 succeeded

Interesting!

The question has to be: is this percentage different from your success on other downs. Yes, you cannot measure success percentage directly, but you could compare yards gained.

So with everything the same yard line, offensive formation, defensive formation etc., should 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 have the same percentages? Or there is something that makes 4th downs inherently easier or harder?

Thanks,

Steve

I cannot answer that without telling things I really dislike to tell. I am sorry.

But I can say, it is not a hundred percent identical.
