Since we have an extensive international European player base, notably Germany, I’ve noticed recently a lot of Americans are moving to Germany. Germany has a significant influence on American culture due to military bases during the Cold War and afterward. Also, Americans love their beer, so Oktoberfest for the win. Germans, have you noticed the influx of Americans? Many of them are college educated and also get out of Student Loans if they move to Germany. They can’t return to the United States

In my dayjob, I am recruiting software developers. I see guys from many nations, and except germans we see east europeans, indians, som UK ... but I had only 1 US boy sitting in front of me. If you are right, I did not notice. But o course thats only me

But o course thats only me The US has a big tech sector, so I think it swallows up all the domestic engineers/developers and starts grabbing them from everywhere else. At one point (antebellum period), the United States had a lot of German culture because some many immigrant from German states. However, I think that they have mostly assimilated and are just part of the melting pot and have adopted generic American culture. Steve SD Blitz |
