A very very minor issue. In RZA probably a little more important, than IRL (at least I think IRL KI usually plays PU, too).
KI vs PU. Even before I started playing in RZA, I believe having read kickers are the smart guys. May be not the QB or MLB level, but still. I am under impression that in RZA draft, of the two players with otherwise very similar characteristics, the smart one is by default KI (PU starting usually below int 40). Do you guys (and gals, if any ![]() ps. My problem might be that never in my life have I played football (football football - as opposed to soccer). But my amateur view is that a kicker's job is relatively less intelligence oriented. Sure, he has to be able to read the distance, and also the weather conditions. But the former is pretty much a given, and a latter is also true about punter, who, in addition, must evaluate (and really quickly, that) the best direction of a punt. Isn't that right? |

First of all, in real live are Kickers and Punters different players.
It's very unusual to have both position played by a single person, can't name a single one from the top of my head. And I think they can be smart or not so smart. Likely not that smart. in RZA I also prefer to have my Kicker smart and play Punter. too. But whether that INT is needed ... not sure, was not able to find a direct hint on that one. I won't hurt to have a smart one. ![]() |

Oh my, my vision of real football takes yet another reality check hit
![]() Thanks for the reply. I will try to play it smart... and keep both KI and PU smart ;-) |

Got a youngster, SPD red capped at ~40, but has Track Star trait.
Reminder : Track Star This player is a natural speedster. Track Star gives a 5% bonus to the speed attribute except for OL, DL, K and P. I don't have an idea about which position to put him and benefit from this trait. Any thoughts ? |

Any thoughts ? 40 speed is a very low skill for mostly any position. And ideea could be as a FB if you wish to keep the trait active, but i would suggest you to fire him an move on. You can also train that strength and see how high it goes. Maybe he will reach strength 50 and you can put him as OL or DL and ignore the trait. Your decision. |

How exactly do I gain credits without voting on the online sports manager site, because I already voted there.

Traits work basically per position group. So a DL enabled trait works for all defensive linemen, no matter if End or Tackle. Pete, blame it on English not my mothertongue - by "work per position group" do you mean: a) whoever among the DL's on the field has the DL-enabled trait, that trait affects the performance of all DL's on the field as a group OR b) the trait affects performance of the player with the trait regardless which position within the group he is playing - but only if the player with the trait is _himself_ involved in the action named in the trait's description (rushing the QB, in the case of Fearsome) OR c) are you going to ask for specific formulas, too? Play, analyse, in short - have some fun with it. Life's too short to get everything on a silver plate ![]() ps. Just in case the answer is a), having 2 (or more) players within the group with a given trait on the field (say, two DL's with Ball Strip), does it improve the performance more than having only one? A trait depends on the group "Defensive Linemen". No matter if you play the guy as DE, DT or NT, the trait will provide its bonus.
Better? |
