Interesting about the 8 team preference as from the numbers it's not really in anyone's best credit per game interest to go for that option.
The 16 team 2 division and the 32 team 4 division both give the a team the least credit cost per guaranteed game. 8 game 2 league @ 30 credits = 3 guaranteed games at 8.3 credits per game 16 game 2 league @ 50 credits = 7 guaranteed games at 7.1 credits per game 16 game 4 league @ 30 credits = 3 guaranteed games at 10 credits per game 32 game 4 league @ 50 credits = 7 guaranteed games at 7.1 credits per game 32 game 8 league @ 30 credits = 3 guaranteed games at 10 credits per game 32 game 8 league @ 35 credits = 3 guaranteed games at 11.7 credits per game So if you aren't confident of winning then the preference should be the 16 team two league format. The teams confident of winning should also prefer the 16 teams 2 division format over the 8 team format as the credits won per game allowing for the cost of entering the competition rises (7.6, 13.3, 24.5, 34, 57.8 and 60.3) as you go down the formats. |
