Found. No matter where I move maintenance windows into, there is always someone who tries to run "non official" games in that window. Seems I need to stop such simulations when in maintenance ... or to close down the whole page completely when I need to run these maintenance tasks.

Oh, and to provide some more info on the reason:
we start a quite heavy maintenance task each wedneday at 10:52 server time. Now check the kickoff time of your game 
I added some functionality not to allow such no official games during such maintenance tasks. |

So just after being heavily punished by the Ravens, I tried again and was heavily punished by the All Stars... without any bug
