We won! 10-9 Good job yall werent relying on me. How did i win the 1st game and lose the second so emphatically. Wow! Same here. Lost both in a humiliating way. Yesterday it looked as if it could be a close match. But in the third quarter all wheels came off. Great job everyone ! |

yes, we won! But we should be grateful that the Dragons accepted their defeat, because there was also a distortion of competition. Why did the Mystics win count even though there was no second leg? Shouldn't the duels from week 1 that didn't take place have taken place in week 2?
Week 1 was terrific. In week 2 the excitement wasn't quite as great. So we should find a system that only plays on a single Friday. The team with less OVR would then have home advantage. 9 out of 14 duels were played as planned with two games. that's about 2/3. The organization was a bit chaotic because the tournament mode and date were changed during ongoing operations. That probably also had a negative impact on the quota. I would also like to mention that something like this only works if there are good people on the other side. Without the dragons Chrill and popopotamo the last two Fridays would not have been possible. why do I mention this? The Dragons want a revenge (next season) and last week Fire announced that they would also like to play against the legendary region Sea Devils (maybe in April). |

i think the tourney idea is awesome and fun. i like the idea of only one week of matchups and i like the idea of higher OVR on the road. and tell Fire...come get some

I also like and support the idea of a single Friday.

I'm ok with either options, but i must say that is better and fair to play one game home and one game away.
I've already started the next battle as BoaTek accepted my friendly game request and he is from Fire |

I am looking forward to it ! |

Can I point out a weakness of using OVR vs.ELO?
The Weasel Traders are one of those cheap teams that are not supporters. Our bad, we were in the past and aren't now. Anyway, This limits use to 1 depth chart. You are always facing the Weasels at their best. Way to cumbersome, and mistake prone, to swap players in and out of the 1 depth chart. As a consequence the Weasel Traders OVR will always be at it's highest possible. The luxury of having 2 or more depth charts available is that it cuts your OVR. Having a 1st string depth chart play one day followed by the Friendly, developmental squad the next puts your OVR in the middle of those 2 teams true OVR. So OVR over ranks the Weasel Traders and under ranks almost everyone else. It is fairly quick to respond to changes. ELO is the opposite. It is "sticky" and unmoving. That makes it super accurate for this 99% of this game and teams. The slow building process for a team is perfect for ELO. It even discounts when you put in the second stringers and back your team off because it sees how your team plays at 100% That is why it is great at ranking chess masters because it is not like a grandmaster plays at a world caliber level one day and a dunce the next. But, in RZA world, a rebuild is exactly that. For example: The Fearsome, never beaten by WTF, Vancouver Corsairs have gone through a rebuilding and yet their ELO remains sky high at 884. The Weasel Traders puny 702 trembles in comparison. Come to think of it, It would make a great suggestion to Pete to have an ELO reset option for rebuilding teams. Just my rambling thoughts. Thanks for reading Stabler |

i agree, ELO is better. If i play a bot, and use all backups, my OVR will dip temporarily, but ELO is a better indication of whats your true level in the game.

Except for the case of the 3 teams, like mine, that are rebuilding... it is going down... but it is still too high.
