I am also very surprised, being in conference championship as well as France being in semi finals without scoring any goals in the game ! Non we are with three former champions, it's a little intimidating to be here... But we will enjoy, it won't happen every season

Here's the stat-based spread for the Conference Championship games. I'm not even going to bother trying to make predictions on these.
Paris Guardians @ Sydney Sea Eagles - Eagles by 3 San Diego Blitz @ Space Kraken - Kraken by 4 |

A lot of great championship game action today already, and we're only halfway through the leagues.
Known thus far are the teams who will join both East and North divisions: To the AC East return the Fredericksburg Comanches and the Deflators, from the Fire League the Panthers and the Niceville Norsemen join the AC North. For the Panthers it's the first time coming to the Elite since S45, when they played in the NC West. The NC East, the most brutal division this season, welcomes the Constanta Ravens and the Michigan Weasel Traders. Both teams have not been at this level, at least not in their respective current iteration. And to the NC North will come another first time Elite member, the Blue Devils, as well as returning member Sfniner08, who has been at this level in S49 already, also in the NC West. We'll monitor the ongoing action, especially the Elite championship games which are currently, minutes before the half, both very even, with the Kraken leading 7:6 against the Blitz and the Guardians being tied with the Seagles Last edited on 2024-07-09 18:29:08 by Chrill |

Congrats to the Sea Eagles and the Space Kraken on winning their respective Conference Championship game. Now we're treated with a re-match of the S50-Bowl-Game which was a close one and won by a FG in the last minutes
The other championship games of yesterday also brought certainty as to which eight other teams will join the Elite next season: To the AC South will return the Saker Falcons after an absence of just one season. They are accompanied by the Neptunes, who will join the best of RZA for the very first time in their franchise history. The Magpies and the little men from Hitchin in the AC West will be joined by the London Silverbacks, who also make their first trip to the Elite, and the Diorite Lions, who have been a regular visitor of this level in the AC South before changing to the Admirals league. To the NC South return the Bretzfeld Bandits, and they bring with them another first time visitor to the highest of RZA levels, the Rockford River Rats. They are the fourth team to join this illustrious circle for the first time, which I find awesome. And last, but not least, the allmighty NC West will see returns of the Olivos Borrachos and Pizti Beltzak, who both come back to the division after only one season of absence. It will be an exciting Season 57 |

Congrats to Kraken and Sea Eagles. We stop here, but playing a Conference Championship was totally unexpected!

And one more round of handicapping. (And there was much rejoicing!)
Elite Championship: - Sydney Sea Eagles @ Space Kraken - Kraken by 12 Keep in mind these spreads are based on regular season numbers so don't reflect the nice job the Eagles have done post-season. So let's say it's closer than 12, maybe within a score, but still with the Kraken winning another crown. Supercup quarterfinals: - KMN Mandalorians @ Paris Guardians - Mandalorians by 7 Guardians have been playing really well lately, but good enough to get past KMN? douteux - Niceville Norsemen @ Mustangs - Mustangs by 8 A Fire v Fire matchup. I don't have season stats on the Norsemen, so had to fake this one. My gut thinks this will be a much closer game than that spread. (Though last season in the conference championships Mustangs took care of the Norsemen pretty handily.) - San Diego Blitz @ Social Distance Runners - Blitz by 4 SDB v SDR! Hard to pick against the Blitz here, though the Runners did have a pretty nice season. And this is one of 2 hard games SDR is playing this week, so they'll likely be happy if they win just one. - Missouri Misery @ Pizti Beltzak - Misery by 57 What??? Can't a guy be optimistic? I also don't have season stats for Pizti, though he unsurprisingly had a great season in his league. Both teams are evenly matched on the ratings, but I'm going to predict 2 Fire teams in the semifinals. Champ of Champs: - Rio Galaxy @ Non Ducor Duco - Duco by 3 Well done by both of these teams making it this far. And one of them even get the opportunity of getting smashed in the championship round! - Social Distance Runners @ Sunrise City Prarie Dogs - Dogs by 6 In my belief that previous season Elite members shouldn't be included in this competition, I'm fully rooting for the Runners here. (Also, since they knocked me out in overtime in the first round, at least if they win it all I can say I lost to the champs.) |

Thank you guys, got pretty lucky my team got key stops holding to fgs while winning the TO battle. Shadow and I have traded victories in (at least) our last 10 games, so I guess I had some stored up luck from the last beatdown he gave me.
