All right, i did my job. Although my wages grew up to 300k from 200k (i know, newbie here
) i'm quite satisfied from savings.
I still have a question, though. Manual says you can negotiate up to 5 franchise contracts. This means 5 for season or it means you can't have more than 5 franchise at the same time? So, If i signed up 5 franchise contracts now, i have 5 more available next season or i can't do others until the actual 5 expire or i get rid of one or more franchised players? Thanks. |

The second option: you can only have 5 active franchise contracts. It does not matter in which season they were signed. In the HR department you have a column that tells you which players have an active franchise contract. When negotiating a new contract, if you already have 5 franchise contracts, the franchise contract option is not available. Therefore, there is no possibility of error (signing more than 5 contracts). |

Right. And please be aware that those contract should not be treated as loyalty contract as in "that guy deserves it". It should be treated as longterm-saving option.
That mean, identify players who are not at the level you want them to be, but close, and lock them up for several seasons for a cheaper wage than they would have with 1+ or 2+ contract in that time period. |

Thank you guys. To be honest, still there's not a particular reason to sign a franchise. I signed up those for 2 players, mainly because they are good in roles when you have few skills to grow, so I can push them hard and get rid of them at the end, when i'll have batter players to grow.
Let's say it's a kind of experiment. At my wage levels i still can do sono kind of trial and error |

So, I'm starting to have doubts about what is taken into account while calculating wages and ratings.
I have 2 LBs, just passed through contract renewal. The first guy is 24yo 48.9 STR 49.9 SPE 50.0 INT 39.3 TW 31.6 AGI 30.6 POS 30.8 VIS 30.9 TACK He will get payed 19k and he is 4* rated The 2nd is 29yo 46.0 STR 50.0 SPE 39.3 INT 37.0 TW 34.8 AGI 31.8 POS 35.1 VIS 35.4 TACK He will get payed 38k and he is 3.5* rated. While I can easily understand why he asks for a doubled wage, I really can't figure out why is rated less than the first... INT is so valued in LB ratings to overcome 3-4 points more in all other skills? |

INT is so valued in LB ratings to overcome 3-4 points more in all other skills? Here you go. 1. It's easy to see the best 2 skills 31.6 (Agility) and 30.9 (Vision) for the 1st LB. Those skill levels indeed are about 20.000$ in salary. 2. For the 2nd LB his best skills are 35.4 (Tackling) and 35.1 (Vision) which give us somewhere at 45.000$ NOTE 1* Higher experience adds to those salary values and also adds to the players ratings. NOTE 2* At age 30, all players drop in their salary because they are getting old. You will see that next season with your 2nd LB if you decide to renew again his contract. If you ask me, wait after turnover and see for yourself. NOTE 3* Intelligence is also important for both players in those positions (LBs), but it holds 0% for their salary and a very low % to their ratings. |

Yes, thank you, but I'm not surprised about wages difference. I know about the 2 best skills (excepting STR-SPE) making the wage, and EXP influence. What I can't understand is why the 1st LB, skills given, is rated more than the 2nd... |
