As said, Gaylord Shapiro is always in top of the league kickers (believe me) but he always gets a mental block when he plays in Gaylord or against a team named Gaylord, it seems, too!

Constanta Sailors @ HAMBURG SEA LIONS Sailors are coming off the shock loss to the RAPTORS. While the SEA LIONS try to stay a game back of the Packers. Fuenlabrada Falcons @ Badalona Cheetahs Someone has to win the battle of the "0"fers. Worried since neither team has logged in recently. Versailles Victors @ Baltimore Blue Crabs I'm feeling the Crabby dance coming on! Sheffield Wednesday @ Konjarnik HighTowers Did you know that the Owls have won the last 10 matchups with the HighTowers? Neither did I. MY SDMOTW pick. Might Be a Game: 
Bergen Bruisers @ Black Knights I just don't think that the Black Knights have the offensive firepower to keep up in this one. Bergen needs this win bad. Devon Warriors @ Minnesota Minotaurs Only here 'cuz I'm a NC West booster. Gaylord Zaleaping @ Terrifying Hamsters These teams split their 2 games last season. Gaylord took the League game and the Hamsters took the Supercup matchup. London Silverbacks @ Rome Centvrions First of 2 meetings to determine the AC South. Anyone feeling MOTY? Michipocoten Corsairs @ Minnesota Silver Foxes Way back in the Silvers days, these 2 would split the series to the great joy of everyone. But, now the Canadians are on a 4 game, 2 season, win streak. Northern Storm @ Riga Smokers Storm need this one. Smokers have shown recent life. Seattle Sea-Reapers @ dERBENT CONVICTS Reapers should win, but you can never rule out the CONVICTS. Wrexham Exiles @ Rome Torresina Rome is on a heater, winning 2 straight but the Exiles have the WC race to consider. Not Gonna Be a Game: 
Cincinnati Bungals @ Manta Rays The all time series is tied at 1-1. Not for long. Copenhagen Chargers @ Social Distance Runners Almost a 600 point ELO delta. Time for overreactions and analysis.
My picker was off this week as most of the “Gonna Be a Games” weren't. But let's review them anyway.
Badalona Cheetahs go off 52:9 on the Fuenlabrada Falcons. It was ugly the whole game for the Falcons. Four turnovers and 0 for 12 on third down sums it up for Fuenlabrada. The Cheetah defense deserves a lot of credit here with a pick six and holding FF to 3 field goals today. Nice Work Cheetahs! 
Constanta Sailors lose second straight game 37:21 to the HAMBURG SEA LIONS. Up 21:10 at half the Sailors lost their wind coming out of halftime. Or HAMBURG DOMINATED. Look at it any way you want to. HAMBURG was able to hold the Sailors scoreless in the final half while putting up 27 of their own to take the lead and the game. Great rally for the SEA LIONS.
Konjarnik Hightowers 42:17 over Sheffield Wednesday. It all looked good early as the Owls drove the field and went up 7:0 on their first drive. After an exchange of punts, KHT responded by scoring the next 42 points and shutting out the Owls for the next 50 minutes. Wow! KHT
Versailles Victors crack the Baltimore Blue Crabs wide open 44:3. The Victors got the message early that this was the SDMOTW. The stats from the game are not remarkable but the score is. Nice work Victors!
Luckily, a number of the “Might be a Game”s were.
Bergen Bruisers edge Black Knights 27:20. This game was back and forth the whole way. The Knights had the lead going into Q4 20:13, but a 80 touchdown drive by Bergen tied the score. The Knights choose to pin Bergen deep with a punt to their one yard line, but a great 50yard punt return by Ernst “Otter” Ottensen allowed Bergen to set up shop in Black Knight territory. Two and a half minutes later Bergen had the lead. Time ran out with the Black Knights driving down to the Bergen 21. This game wins the “In retrospect this was the SDMOTW” award for both teams.
Devon Warriors outlast Minnesota Minotaurs 30:24. The Bullmen were really close here but just seemed to run out of gas. Up 21:10 at half, Minnesota came out and had along drive for a field goal. But just ike other games today, Devon came roaring back and scored 20 unanswered to win. Devon Warriors!
Wrexham Exiles get by Rome Torresina 37:31. Really good game. The pick six by Exile Samuel “Alexander”Hamilton was the difference here. It turned this into a 2 score lead for Wrexham and they were able to hold on after that. Props to both teams here.

Week 13 Preview
What a poorly scheduled week or have I just gotten used to league weeks with a lot of good games? Let's go! Gonna be a Game singular
Michipicoten Corsairs @ St. Pauli Packers - Run away SDMOTW game here. Both teams with a lot on the line as they try to hold their division leads. These two used to face each other in the playoffs yearly in S58-60 with the Corsairs winning a 2-1 advantage. Corsairs also hold the ELO edge 932-893. Gonna be a great game. I just have to pick who to root for. Had to strrrrrreeeetch to find Might be a Games
Baltimore Blue Crabs @ Seattle Sea-Reapers Seems like a Sea-Reaper ought to be able to dispatch a crab fairly easily. Bergen Bruisers @ Minnesota Minotaurs I've told you I'm a NC WEST booster, Right? dERBENT CONVICTS @ Manta Rays Any CONVICTS game has the chance to be a contest. Gaylord Zaleaping @ Minnesota Silver Foxes West is best! Rome Centurions @ Northern Storm Storm should take care of business. Week 13 review
Only 3 games to talk about and they are one from each category. Gonna be a Game"
Michipocoten Corsairs lose a close one at St.Pauli 31:38. Corsairs led most of the game until they didn't. The stats are fairly even, But the story is all about the picks. Up 24:7 at half Kyle Cary took the opening drive of the second half to the Packer thirty before throwing his pick. The point starved Pack then drove 70 to get that TD. The Canadiens were still up 31:28 with 5:15 left in the game with the ball, in the red zone at the Packer 19. And disaster struck. Instead of more points to seal the game, Ninja Nauseb throws a pick. St. Pauli cashes in on that to take the lead and get a clinching field goal from a Kyle Cary pick later to end the game. Great comeback Pack! Good Game Corsairs
Could be a Game
Gaylord Zaleaping lose 23:30 to the Minnesota Silver Foxes. Two picks thrown by Zaleaping QB "Thunder" Bolt the difference here as the Foxes traded those in for 10 points. Guess it had to happen some time but this is the first victory for the Silvers/Foxes over the Weasels Zaleaping. NIce work!

I thought it was batshit crazy to pick the Terrifying Hamsters @ Devon Warriors as the SDMOTW. But that is why I am not on the Committee. This was a close game the whole way, The Hamsters Ran a balance attack and clawed out and impressive 190 yards on the ground to win the Total Yardage race by 100. Great Game Hamsters Great pick SDMOTW Commitee!

Week 14 recap
Gonna be a Game:
HAMBURG SEA LIONS take down St. Pauli 29:28. Surprised HSL didn't use MOTY here. got the W anyway. Key plays were the punt to the SPP 1 and the ensuing safety on the next play. Strategic punting...who knew. Both teams
Minnesota Silver Foxes outlast Terrifying Hamsters 28:23. 88 yard punt return for MSF is just enough to outlast the Hamsters 17 point Q4 rally. Both teams
Might be a Game:
Cincinnati Bungals get their first ever 32:17 over the Badalona Cheetahs. Bungals put up over 500yards of offense and defensively shut the Cheetahs down in the second half. Two thumbs up here for the Bungals and to hmpf22 for teaching me about John Nesser.
CONVICTS take down Sheffield Wednesday 24:23. Down 23:3 five minutes into Q4, the CONVICTS rally for three TD's to win. NEVER count out the CONVICTS.

Black Knights vs. Wrexham Exiles Wrexham too strong for resurgent Black Knights. Devon Warriors vs. Gaylord Zaleaping This one is going to be close. Gaylord needs the W and they suck in those situations. HAMBURG SEA LIONS vs. Yorkshire Sea-Owls The name change will make all the difference for Yorkshire. lol Minnesota Silver Foxes vs. Bergen Bruisers Bergen should win, but MSF has been on a heater. Northern Storm vs. Manta Rays Should be Rays all the way but division games are weird. Rome Centvrions vs. London Silverbacks Rome is playing for pride here as their playoff hopes have ended.
