SEA DEVILS MATCH OF THE WEEK 13
DERBY DELLA CAPITALE - This term probably doesn’t need to be translated into English. Everyone immediately knows the translation, and everyone can feel that today (once again) we’re dealing with an emotion-filled SDMOTW. As the reigning city champion of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, I of course know how emotionally charged city derbies are. It will be no different here. Both teams play in different divisions, but they have faced each other every season since joining the Sea Devils empire (once even in the Supercup). Since both franchises are roughly the same age and always meet at a similar stage of development, their matchups are evenly balanced, with a record of 2–2. Did I just say “roughly the same age”? Well, the Centvrions are actually a few months older and therefore had a slight head start. Torresina have won the last two derbies and go into today’s game with a triple advantage (ELO, OVR, and home field). Tvollo must win today, otherwise their local rivals will establish themselves as the city’s dominant team, and the Centvrions will be seen for a long time as the underdog who might occasionally upset the giant. Division standings aren't very meaningful in the first few weeks. They only reveal the true strengths once 75% of the games have been played. Now, 12 out of 16 games have been played. I'll be checking my division standings for the first time this season....
Edit: Everything's normal. Two underdogs are following with a slight deficit. Extrapolating, that'll be a difference of 2 to 4 wins at the end of the regular season. I hope your divisions are more exciting.  Last edited on 2026-04-18 17:14:59 by hmpf22 |

Wow.
Toshiaki threw over 300 yards in his first game this season, the PC still bugging me bc maybe we could have actually won that WITH A BACKUP

Good game @Chrill. I was nervous but the boys did well.
I may not make the playoffs, but I'll take the small victory of snapping your home winning streak. Now let's focus on revenge against the Packers for that 1 point loss last game.
