1. Match settings were set over 1 hour before the game

2. Try Fieldgoal instead punting on 4th down when distance <35
Go for 4th down when yards to go = Never

3. I only have a small number of plays in my playbook and none are set to do anything on 4th down.

In the last game my team didn't attempt any punts. There is another one today so I'll see what happens in it.

Same thing is happening all over again. Going for it on 4th down and no punts in sight

I found the mistake. Without going into detail here in the public: you added rules "any quarter, any down"...this means of course the 4th down too. Since the playbook overwrites all, you go for each single down.

ahh so the playbook has to specify down 1,2,3 and then punt/kick on 4th?

Thanks for finding the problem, I assumed any down meant 1-3 only. My mistake!

right, and no problem.

I will spend some time to write a more detailed manual about playbooks, and I will offer both an offense and a defense playbook for a basic start. This should help to avoid confusion.

i have my punt option on any and had no problems, admittedly i have disabled the go on 4th and ? option.
