In addition to the game day bonus, I also wanted to focus my training on the running game. So High CP RB Assistant Coach and OL AC.

I figure a strong OL never hurts, because later I want to focus on my passing game.

My RB AC is older than I am , so I'm hoping he stays around another couple seasons until my RB cadre is where I want it. Then when he retires, I'll switch to training the passing game.

btw - I was not impressed with my 97 CP head coach's debut. 0-7 loss.

Because effects are not active already i think this is not reason for your loss.

As i understand such type of engine changes only at start of new season or i understand wrong?

No, you are right.

Oh. I guess that means my 3-game losing streak is my fault.

Later this evening we will activate coaches for the simulation engine.

As written earlier: the higher an ACs CP is, the better players on that position will perform. This means nothing else than a TE Coach will increase the performance only if the TE is set to be a TE in the player details, and is playing on the field as TE!

The math

$factor=(($cp + 45 + 1000) / 1100) + (rand(-50,50) / 10000)

This will result in something like +-5%, if the player is playing his position, on the skills the AC is affecting.

There is no direct advantage from your Head coach at the moment.

Without do any math just a simple question:

When i have AC: it is possible, that the player play worse than they could?

Dont get me wrong, but then please i want to have some more details (formula) what happens when i do not have AC at all!

Screw the bonus on training - then i want to decide if its worth to pay Millions per seasons on ACs just for a "random" chance

Please dont get me wrong: i like random factors, but not when its total illogic - my 5 cents.

No coaches: the player will act based on the CP shown in the COaches Overview.

There is a little chance on Low CP coaches the player could act worse than without a Coach, yes. Consider this to be a "penalty" for the YA-TP-Hunters.

The randomness in this formula is very very ... very low. So the COach is the trigger, not the RNG.

This range is referring to AC from 0 to 100 - correct?

Sure you can guess i did maths meanwhile - so its just for cross check and confirmation
