Oh, I see your point now
It seems unfair, but rules are like that. I think teams who will benefit with those five bots in 1.1 will be teams in 2 who didn't achieve the promotion in the field, but will be promoted with the bot flush because of their good record. Anyway, I'm not completely sure about that, you can always open a thread in the Discussions forum and see what Peter has to say about it |

Thanks for that. I had obviously already read that as I stated that 29 was automatically relegated, but that all 4 (29-32) were human teams whereas the 5 bot teams are all above the relegation places. That does not seem fair and indeed wrong that bot teams are left and human players get relegated. I think you took a look at the "ranking" which is - I think - not used for calculating the releagtion procedure. The usual tiebreakers are used for that AFAIK, i.e. win/loss and PD, so if you sort the league table for league, you'll find four human teams and four bots placed on the bottom. I think the picture looks a bit fairer then. |

Season 6 appears to end with the same results of the last 3 seasons:
Slavia Pankrác v. Landru Athletics Season's 4 & 5 saw Landru win, let's see if Slavia can finally get their trophy this year. |

Season 2 also saw that matchup (and a Landru win). 4 out of five possible Thunder Bowls looked exactly the same |

Yep we all know.
We will all have to just get better, though I think the scores are getting closer. Maybe Landru and Slavia will help us all by their star players having injury packed seasons. |

Yeah, using the new engine, the games are now more unpredictable...however, the ones who were here first still have a huge advantage I simply hope you guys won´t quit the game due to that...my team is now nearly in saturation and I guess i will be able to use 'just' one of my three drafties as a permanent starter, maybe none...so most of you will catch up a bit...i ran some scrimmages and i can tell you that randomness is a very important factor in games, were both teams have a well thought game plan. The margins are getting closer. Patience is very important, my era will fade away someday...but i hope it doesn´t start tomrrow Bovakian wrote:

Patience is very important, my era will fade away someday...but i hope it doesn´t start tomrrow I think saturation is the key word here, you can only get better as long as your key players don't start going into pension. That's the point at which "real" GM type decisions and roster management comes into play. For guys like you, you probably still have that first good core lineup healthy and going. A lot of other teams are still building that. And once you start losing that first core, depth becomes key, and the others can overtake you by creating good matchups and gameplans. The game definitely got closer with the new engine, but I think the real question of sustained success (at least in 1.1) will come in around 2 or 3 seasons I guess. Up until then, first-gen teams should still have the advantage talent-wise and it will still be really hard to compete with you gus. Doesn't mean we won't try, of course. |
