One player name is displayed to me like this

Sieghard Kühn

I think it has to be Kühn - somehow it has problem with display of german sonderzeichen (special letters)

It is in team overview and also in player profile and depth chart - anywhere

Player id is: 207789 for example

Hm, some of those display issues are solved by using some more encoding stuff, but not all...it seems - according to several webpages - MS Excel has issues one reading from UTF8 csv...

If this does not solve your problems, please bug Microsoft for further assistance

normally and i import lot of data out of txt files by hand when it need to go quick for a first analyze example and also include names from all european countries like nordics havent problem till now with utf8 import in Excel

So i try to download file one more time - save it - and open it out of excel

This error happens for my team when try download csv - for both different types:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_encoding() in /srv/www/htdocs/football/inc/player.php on line 2802

For PDF Error also with small difference

should be OK...btw: using same Excel version at home and work. At work some characters are wrong, at home they are OK, but others are wrong. It seems there is a dependencie on client side installation of Excel too...

When I look at the CSV in a hex editor, the characters are as they should be
