I asked, because 4 "uber" teams should be in that league, right? How many "uber" teams are there?

31

ok. that's quite a number. in this case their maybe should be some changes.

for instance, put all uber teams in one conference just kidding. but it looks a little bit that newer teams absolutely have only slim to even no chances to catch up. at least this is how it sounds to me.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, it takes a very long time to be the best of the best in this simulation. I myself like the challenge.

The prices on the TM being as inflated as they are, and people manipulating the draft ...

My team is bottom 4 talent wise in this league, yet I will likely be drafting dead in the middle. Which means quite possibly 0/3 on getting anyone reasonably helpful. I've managed 1/3 the last 2 drafts.

So yeah, it certainly feels hopeless trying to improve one's team when you factor in the tank-a-thon.

For the record, I do like challenge. I don't like manipulation. But, I'll shut up about it.

So I'm curious, are you going to give in to the dark side still and start tanking?

I did in today's game of sorts, went 100% run with a team that's much better passing the ball. It felt filthy. I might just tear up my roster, sell off everyone that's over the age of 24 or so, and try to rebuild. Would feel cleaner than the alternatives at this point.

I just watched some of that game and went over the game summary and stats.
Why do you have Oleg Yarovyi, a LB, taking 38 rushes
Also your general makeup says your better (59.9%) at rushing than passing (58.2%)

Oleg is a draft FB, who is still in "free position" change period. No out of position penalty. I have no FB AC. I have a 84 CP LB coach. Hence, he's training skills which are allowed there (Spd/Str/Pos/Vis, not Blk/Car).

He needs exp as a 19yo ... especially where I've just put my 30 year old heart of the team up for sale. Enrique Oliver

Having benched several of my older players (Harwell since he's for sale, Ojukwu at TE since he's retiring, and pushing several younger replacements at WR/TE into service, yes my pass bar dipped below the rushing one.

In my league games (no Supercup etc. biasing stats), my rushing has accounted for ~1300yds, 10 TDs, 6 fumbles. My passing game for 3200yds, 33 TDs, 9 Int. So regardless of the % bars, we were very much a passing team ... I'm not sure what I'll be after all the old folks get sold off.

So, in your opinion, if you were to tank you would be able to get 1/3 in the draft? And that is vastly better than not tanking?!

I guess I just don't understand why you would tank just to get a little bit better opportunity in the draft.

Finished your post, exactly my opinion

it's not about the challenge. that's actually the fun part. easy is boring. but.... it sounds quite like an uphill battle. the discussions lately show me (I may be corrected here), that the uber teams hord all the talent, just cause they can.

i'm not really getting into that tank discussion, because tanking is just lame. i thought about it. there is no way to really solve the tanking problem and those teams very likely won't get better through tanking in the first place. so what's the point.

my big point is the money and the "talent hording"..... i will keep an eye on that one.

Talent is not limited, and therefore how could one "hord" it?

Money is an issue, but we did a lot of things to solve the situation. meanwhile a good portion of teams is on the financial limit - though I expected this point 2 seasons earlier...
