we seem to have lost some of the better thunder teams in the last few seasons

He doesn't - you probably looked before the positions were recalculated, which usually happens around 1am CET, after the matches have been played.

Not possible as far as I can see - adding to the "Top 100..." lists with a "Top 100 squad payroll", "Top 100 coach payroll", "Top 100 combined payroll" would be cool. I notice there are a couple of teams with a combined payroll of >$9M - that's a seriously risky strategy when a home game only brings in about $8M, and your expected gate returns for the entire season are c.$124M, against a payroll outlay of c.$216M - that's not even including maintenance which is about another c.$12M... |
