-The Olympians have AC East
-Paris Destroyers have the AC North because their competition in 2nd is bot
-Luzern Lions (bot team) will take the all bot AC South
-One of my personal fav teams, the Badgers, claim AC West

-I'm giving NC East to the Narentines even though their competitors, the Wildcats, are right on their heels, because the Narentines have all bots left in league games
-Another personal fav, the Dawgs, have clinched their division in the NC North
-The Kilkenny Giants, though tied at 11-2 with the Whiteskins, will take the NC South. I used MOTY against them in our only league game together and they still pulled out a W.
-The Black Sox have won my division, the NC West!

I predict the postseason will find the Badgers pitted against the Dawgs, with the Dawgs taking the whole league and becoming the season 13 champs of Galaxy 2.2.

I've learned so much in this, my first season here at RZA.
Thank you to everyone that's helped me and answered my questions about game mechanics.

I plan on finishing maxing my stadium (currently at 120k seats), and waiting til season 14 before I hire coaches.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but as a mostly life-long resident of 1 town or less from Foxboro I must don the hoodie and say "One game at a time"
(especially with a re-match of my first playoff game in 12 hours)

I suspect I'll lose the conference championship game.
(A bit of talent/game-planning short of hanging with Opava)

My league champ prediction ... gotta go with the old internet meme

Forgive my inevitable typos in advance - I write this from a smartphone

Week 15 Results

AC

EAST:
The Olympians win their 13th game, easily pulling a W from the Hamsters. 13-1
NORTH:
Paris Destroyers also faced a bot opponent and are now 8-6, still the favorites to take the division
SOUTH:
All bot division
WEST:
The Badgers take another win from a bot. 13-1

NC

EAST:
The Narentines win easily over their bot opponent. 10-4
NORTH:
The Dawgs remain undefeated after an easy win against the Whiteskins. 14-0
SOUTH:
Kilkenny Giants clinch a playoff spot with their win over a bot. 12-2
WEST:
The Black Sox take a W from a bot and so remain undefeated at 14-0

The Frankfurt Patriots and Kilkenny Giants both clinched playoff spots today, Congrats to them.
Still no wildcard spots clinched.

The Vikes Trample the Tykes!

My team, the Purple Vikings, made the Whiterose Tykes look like a semi-pro team today with a winning score of 46-10.
(Or else their HC told his lads to rest on this one to avoid injury)
The game can be found here.

In this match, my D get all the credit for our victory, with 6 interceptions and 1 sack, they crushed the Tykes running game to only 13 rushing yards.
They also kept the pass happy Tykes passing game in check with the aforementioned 6 picks, and 3.8 avg. Yards/pass.
Average completion % of the Tykes QBs was 42.8%

Out of the 14 3rd down conversions attempted by the Tykes, the Vikes defense allowed 0.

Hats off to my teams defense

A couple of headscratchers this week, as the Galaxy 2.2 winds up for the playoffs 2 games from now.

The AC

EAST
The Streatham Olympians thrash the Fairhaven Dawgs 63-9 in a strange, albeit boring, game. Their record is 14/1.

NORTH
The Paris Destroyers have their division clinched, but only through lack of competition in the weak North. The Destroyers average only 31.6 pts/match and allow 19.6 pts/match. They take a win from a bot and stand at 9/6.

SOUTH
Nothing to report in this all bot division.

WEST
The number 1 Badgers now have a 7 win streak, easily shutting out a bot to stand 14/1.

NC

EAST
The Narentines allow 3 points from their bot opponent, raising concerns for their playoff outcome. They win, however, and stand 11/4.

NORTH
The Dawgs lose their first League game against the AC East division leaders, the Streatham Olympians. 14/1.

SOUTH
The Kilkenny Giants smash through their bot opponent for a 13/2 record.

WEST
The Black Sox win their 15th straight game and stay undefeated against their bot opponent.

Items of Interest

The Dawgs lose their first game of the season, leaving only the Badgers and Black Sox undefeated now. It was vs. the Olympians. Olympians are a great team, but to get wiped out 63-9 raises eyebrows.
The Dawgs team morale is allegedly extremely low, only a quarter of what it used to be, according to some reports. As well, rumors of major player incohesion run rampant.
The mystery of it all is yet to go answered, the brass at Fairhaven have so far declined comment. Until then their fans are left wondering what their playoff is going to look like.

In other news, the Purple Vikings route the Longfield Whiteskins 42-3.
The game and its results can be found here.
The Whiteskins start the game off with a penalty kickoff, setting the tone for a one-sided, sloppy match that they easily could have made into a real competition.
For whatever reason, the Whiteskins slept, and the Vikings took advantage of this to route them 42-3.
Vikings Owner Chris Kirby gives us this quote, "Perhaps (the Whiteskins) could have just forfeited or simply not shown up (to the match). Would've saved their fans the time and money. Also when the heck are they gonna change their name?"

One more match until the playoffs.

(excerpts from Naughty Dawgs's owner Brewnoe press conference on recent staff changes and "The Stinker at The Stadium")

First off, let me say that it's a personal pet peeve about news in general when a report comes out stating that a person or organization declined to comment when the truth is either there was no request for a comment or the party in question wasn't available for comment because they're too busy dealing with the event(s) they're being asked to comment on.
In this case, we've determined the problem was internal. One former member of the public relations staff who was upset about the recent changes responded to a press inquiry by saying "don't want to talk about it" ... they are now only authorized to speak to the press about their work in the east parking lot restrooms.

Regarding the dismissal of coach Menicagli and his staff:
After intense debate with the commissioner and the competition committee over the course of the season, it became clear the plan Gerardo was following would lead to a longer run of mediocrity than we were willing to accept. After discussing some potential changes to the assistant coaching staff, he simply felt he could not work with any positional coaches who were "better" than he was. We offered to let him finish out the season, but he chose to return to the Vatican to study the sacred writings of St Vincent di Lombardi and take a vow of silence until he received a new coaching position.

The resignation of coach Menicagli and rumors about incoming coach Hadid and his approach certainly had a much bigger impact on the players than we expected. Frankly this seems a little ridiculous, we've been a very international team practically from day one.
We're still not going to let any coach or player impose their non-football views on the team any more than we're going to start letting a quarterback demand a kosher football. The only truth to the rumors is that he will push our players harder in training. Any players that can't deal with their new, harder training plan will get an easier one ... walking to the door.

Will we get things straightened out in time for this season's playoffs? Unlikely, but the truth is the motto in the weight room applies not just to the players but the management and fans too .. "More pains, faster gains"

I made it to the playoffs, and my first opponent is a bot!
I'd like to take the time right now to thank all my haters who never believed in me and just made me try harder!

Oh I'll report on last league games soon.
