It is sort of good to be back in Galaxy. However, I don't expect to be as competitive compared to the past. I lost several starters to retirement the past two seasons and did not replace them with anything comparable.

I will be losing 8 more of my top defensive players at the end of this season, so I might take that as a sign for me to retire from the game as well. (My best DL made it to the ripe old age of 35, and my best LB made it to 34, but I guess enough is enough.) Win or lose, I will try to stay active for the complete season - although I will be spending less time on the game.

Good luck to all for the new season and beyond.

Come on bellji, you may rethink your decision. The "Orcs" will have a similar problem with players getting older and older, and...more expensive. So, the challenge is, to manage this as far as possible, without loosing too much strength.

For this season, i'll try to manage exactly this for the "Orcs". Should be manageable for "Hippos" as well !

Galaxy without Hippos ? No way !

CU !

Exactly my opinion. Would be great if bellj stuck around.

@Pete: Cambodia was great fun. Extremely poor country, but people a lot friendlier than in Thailand. First day wasn't that much fun though: taxi driver ripped me off, a bit later I washed my hands in darkness with a urinal cake (Klostein), since it was nicely presented next to the sink. Only uphill from that "experience" onwards, would recommend to anyone.

thanks for your forecast, but I don't know if we will remain competitive. My salary amount became too high, I try to sell some of my old and more expensive players but, properly, nobody wants them. So, maybe I'll be forced to fire a couple of them, let's see...

Great to hear, except the taxi thing...glad you enjoyed the vacation over all! Thanks for the report!

A bit of a lucky win for me, but I take it. Not looking forward to the away game vs Hippos.

I'm considering it a moral victory losing - without completely getting my teeth kicked in vs Toni's brutal squad in week 1.

Got very lucky to pull off the overtime W vs Green Panthers this week. Hell of a game Green Panthers.

Hi, woe, that was a matchday, with really some interesting and notable matches (IMHO) in Gameday-2, as there were :

Guinness Drinkers United 20:17 Wallace Wildcats
-> are the "Drinkers" needed to be taken seriously this season ? Do they really have enough potential to fight for Elite League ?
Heidelberg Hippos 17:20 *Pawn*Stars*
-> my personal match of the day with better ending for the "Stars". Two teams with Elite League experience already and potential to reach the goal again.
Midnight Marauders 34:28 Green Panthers
-> exciting match
Nuremberg Fallen Templars 21:27 Longfield Whiteskins
-> hmmm..."Templars", not enough blood as preparation for the match? Nice victory for "Whiteskins"
Ramdozers 27:24 Montesacro Mermaids
-> also an exciting match !

PS: too bad the "Razorbacks" gone BOT.
