good game Bruisers, don't know why, but really struggled to get anything to work in this game.
My defence, normally good at shutting teams down, struggled and you scoring with 2 mins to go, I just couldn't get back up the field to score. 
Still wasn't expecting a 16-0 season. |

Yowch... tossing 5 picks in a game is definitely a recipe for losing!
Especially, when the other team did not turn over the ball at all! The game ended in the 4th quarter like this: 0:50 1 and 10 to go on opp 13, Ernest Hildebrand (OC) snaps the ball to Juan Ignacio Herrero (QB), Juan Ignacio Herrero (QB) selected Derrick Barrow (WR/R) as target, overthrown outer right pass, incomplete, no progress (I-formation vs. 5-2) more 0:41 2 and 10 to go on opp 13, Gail Gabriel (OC) snaps the ball to Nadab Fersht (QB), Nadab Fersht (QB) selected Gary Brennan (WR/R) as target, he passes outer screen right to him, intercepted by Steve Seddon (CB/L) on the opp 13 (Singleback Spread vs. 3-3-5) more I was only down 3 points, so I was in position to push the game to OT at the very least. Here is an u p d a t e on the last overview of our league.
I will point out bigger changes for every division and the playoff picture. So far I did no "re-pick" based on results. I still think overall my picks are OK, upsets might have been a result of a bad day for that day (or a good one, dependend on the point of view) Now here is the result, only with losses and wins: AC AC East Won Lost Strike Team 15 1 Sedalia Slugs 8 8 Marines 4 12 Versailles Knights 1 15 No changes here. So far every game went as expected. AC North Won Lost Berinsfield Hornets 14 2 Florida Gators 9 7 Spawn City Killers 4 12 Benik Cowboys 2 14 Hornets did lose 2 unexpected games, but I still see them winning many games. While the Gators did win 1 game not expected (The Hornets game), but I did not change the picks, so the are still on 2nd place. Maybe I have to rethink this, since there are several games quite close from the picking view. We will see. AC South Won Lost Muppet Liberation Army 13 3 Panteras Assassinas 7 9 srib_bdx 7 9 Neptunes Bologna 6 10 Army did get an additional win, while all other teams have lost 1 more game than expected. Bottom line is, the standings are the same, on conference level and league level this might have an impact. AC West Won Lost AC West Won Lost Manchester Machine 14 2 Skyzo Shenkos 14 2 River City Ice 11 5 BOIU 1 15 No changes here, all picks were correct and I don't see a need for changes. That makes it harder for them to win the division, but my team is only one upset away to fall a spot. No big impact on division level. What does that mean for the playoffs? In the playoffs I do project: NC name division wins Strike Team AC East 15 Berinsfield Hornets AC North 14 Manchester Machine AC West 14 Muppet Liberation Army AC South 13 Skyzo Shenkos AC West 14 River City Ice AC West 11 Small changes in the sorting, but no new playoff contender. Thanks, honestly I don't know how the season will turn out, though I would really like to win the division, I have a lot of schedule left! Well this was the game that no one expected us to win. The first half went much as expected with the Blood Kings notching up a 10 point lead.
But things went crazy in the 3rd as we picked up 4 (of our 5) interceptions there and manged to translate them into points. This seemed to change the whole game. It has given us huge hope for the season. (Full report in Press Release) |
