If I activate the HR department now will I need to get all contracts squared before the season rollover?
Any other pointers with this? |

Yes, if you activate the HR Department any player without a contract through next season will leave at rollover ( including recently promoted youths - I'm still mourning Deangelo Connors )
Once you activate the HR Department it will cost more to fire players as you'll need to spend a bit to cancel their contract (not a ton, but every bit counts) ... if you've cleaned the deadwood off your roster - not a concern, but if you many have older players, low teamwork players or low experience players or some with a combination of those it would be another reason to wait. |

If you wait with HR department until a few days before rollover, you can just discontinue the contract of your trash. They will vanish without additional costs.
