good game Bloodbeak
My track record in the Fire Cup is not good against your team, I need to do more gameplanning when we meet again

Now go get that Cup

To play against the Eagles on the first day of new season is becoming a good tradition for my team

It didn't go too well for me last time so I'm hoping for a better result

Cheers mate. I had noticed that my only wins vs you have been in friendly cups

It seems you were unlucky not to win this one. A late pick six got me over the line really.

Weird - I logged in yesterday and it said I beat Flying Ducktales by 45-7. Today, I have had a second training update, all my youth player notes have been reset, and now I've lost that same friendly cup game 30-23. W.T.F?!?!

Pete had to run the season rollover twice... that's really bad luck Blookbeak. The site crashed as I was up 13-3 against the Dynamos in the 2nd quarter and then the rematch gave him a 42-0 lead on me

Anyway, good luck to both finalists, see you all in the league and cup this season

I'm very sorry about that Bloodbeak! I had completetly forgotton our game and didn't set anything up - so you deserved your big win! I don't think I deserve to be in the final, so maybe I just "forget" to set up anything again

Yeah, strange results. The friendly cup should be played during a season or shouldn't be played at all imo.

Or they could just run season rollover on the Monday.

You're a bigger man than I am Meitheisman, to take this with an air of indifference as you have. I am almost envious of your "C'est la vie" attitude to this.

And Joi, perhaps you don't deserve to be there, but you ARE there: so by all means TRY. You appease no one doing otherwise; if anything you would just be letting yourself and the hordes of Ducktales fans down.

There is a fine Fire Cup trophy and extra credits on top of the already-acquired credits on offer. Someone has to win. Take it, or at least go down trying.

Maybe my more rational self will live vicariously through the efforts of the Ducktales in this one. I could say to myself (denying what appears to be complete randomness, to the tune of a 40-point-swing applied to the results of games between well matched teams - especially reinforced by the details provided by Manu re: his game) that I legitimately beat that winner in the REAL semi-final. The one where Lady Luck decided not to kick me in the balls for once in this game

No doubt at Eagles HQ they would be somewhat aggrieved about the stunning turnaround in fortunes as well, yet would still expect the Dynamos to give their all, whether or not the belief was there that they were deserving finalists.

Sure, I am absolutely livid about this, and have been fighting to control all sorts of irrational reactions (you know, tanking for the next 20 seasons, selling off my team, botting, taking some kind of malevolent approach etc) ever since, but as Pete and all of his pre-emptive "don't get angry" sycophants have already explained, what's done is done.

Essentially, I've walked into McDonalds, ordered a soft serve cone, received a burger full of dog shit instead, and the poor overworked little darlings behind the counter can't think of a solution to placate the frustrations of this particular paying customer, other than to tell me that the ice cream machine is broken, thanks for coming, have a nice day, enjoy your McDogshit, don't forget to renew your McScription when it runs out in 10 days, and above all DON'T COMPLAIN. Screw you, McSycophant!

We PAID MONEY to buy these credits, and we used these credits to enter this cup (which by credit standards is not cheap) and potentially WIN MORE CREDITS. I have every right to feel cheated, as far as this paying customer is concerned. If there were no credits on offer, I certainly wouldn't be shelling out just to try to win a custom trophy!

Like I said, I am envious of the "shit happens" attitude emanating from Eagles Central.

Eventually, I'll get over what I see as an injustice - I know that. At the heart of it, I know it wasn't a deliberate act that cost me credits here. I certainly don't hold it against any of my dear Fire counterparts. Yes, I know, I am rambling like a lunatic. But surely, I am allowed to feel disgruntled and ripped off when I got sold a lemon. A BIG TIME dogshit burger. Even taking my (second) youth pull served to do nothing but exacerbate my frustrations (despite him being a year younger and more promising young prospect - I should have killed him on principle. In fact, I might do just that, because who cares?)

Speaking of, I may have to skip Fire Cup III on principle (or more likely a lack of credits due to taking the "once bitten, twice shy" approach to supporter renewal)

I'm done ranting. Not wanting it to be a begrudging "Best of luck in the final", but it's the best I've got. Good luck Dynamos and Ducktales. I'm dirty, but I don't hate you guys for it. Please don't hate me for feeling this way.

huch, for me the most annoying things on this roll-over are the extrem different match results from the first to the second roll-over ...

so for me, the game seems to be a sort of random. so at this Point i could lose the Motivation for this game - we´ll see.

I love it, that you are frustrated, mate

That shows, that you have a passion for this game, which is normally very good but very bad in such moments. But it is way more fun to compete against passionate opponents

I know such feelings, believe me

However, those two completely different outcomes of the same game between the same teams with apparently the same game orders back my feeling that random parts of the game engine carry a lot of weight.

I will make a new topic in the suggestions forum to decrease random influences in the game engine
